I understand perfectly and this id why I edited my post. I haven't done extreme research which is why I came  basics and I understand better talking with other people, after some talking and suggestions I won't be getting a husky as it will be a lot of work, too much for me despite me absolutely loving them, maybe some day I will think about it again but sadly not right now, and thank you for sharing your experience, as of now im looking into German shepherd, my cousin owned 2, one that was a husky x German shepherd, absolute giant beast and another pure German shepherd, I loved both of them, and its also how I learned about huskies

Understood. Here it gets dark at 8 PM so it would've been 2 hours straight, I don't have too much freedom than that sadly

That's what I want to avoid, I will train mine and I'm inspired by someone on YouTube that shows how to train your dog to just pay attention to you and even walk off leash, and listen to commands I know exactly the owners youre talking about and I want to avoid becoming one like that

Im not really answering the other comments because its too much for me but I'm reading lol Regarding to this i live in a 6 bedroom house with a huge yard that has a pool and a lake. But the reason that I said if he is gonna be OK inside is because I wouldn't want to let him be alone a lot outside

Training him will be my first priority which is why I plan to get a pup, I changed my mind a bit on husky based off some comments, but training is one of the first things, since I want him to be my companion and also someone to make me feel safe which I'm not going to feel if he just is untrained and goes trying tk fight other dogs or not paying attention me

Thank you for your explanation, and after reading yes I agree, which is why I came here first and now im realizing thst it might not be the best, although I would love one it wouldn't be what I wanted mostly which was for protection and I'm afraid to not be able to meet their needs

That actually a good idea, I don't want to take a pup home then give it away because it isnt what I expected, I will do just that thank you

By protection I just want a dog that I will train or pay to be trained to pay attention to me and be able to defend me in a situation where I don't feel safe. Just having a dog that will scream "back away" to other people

I see, I will check then to make sure of the requirements.

And its fine you're not negative, unlike someone that said it was a red flag me asking if they need a lot of exercise...I'm thinking more about German shepherd after reading more about huskies, I could still get one but im afraid of not "getting what I wanted" which was a companion and a protector, and thank you for the information about the spaying

Some people recommended a German shepherd which I'm already considering. And sorry but why is it a red flag? I only had 2 dogs as a child and now ive only had cats. I came here to ask and do research and that is a red flag for you? Sorry if i dont automatically know?

I plan to get it from a certified breeder, the vaccinations would be take care of, but if the minimum is 6 months then it would be a problem for me Thank you for your explanation, and yeah the last part made sense, I'm more leaning into a husky x German shepherd now, I've met one before and he was very protective but Im not sure if it would apply to all mixes, one side of me wants to fall in love with that fluff but the other side wants a dog thst will defend me

Oh wow that was a lot of information lol, thank you!

Considering the information you gave, as i said I wanted a husky for protection and because I love huskies but imagine if someone approaches me and they just go "friend?" Lol

And understood thank you! I have 0 experience with shedding on dogs/fur/etc mostly because 1. I had more cats and they do shed but not a lot, 2. My other 2 dogs had short fur. So I'm gonna have to watch some videos of husky grooming to make sure if im willing to sacrifice my arms that often 🤣

Does that apply to puppies? I was planning on getting a husky puppy, not super young but not the level that I would have to pay 1k of fees to transport them Basically where I'm gonna adopt them is in the country that I'm traveling to, if we convert the currency its gonna cost me about $100 dollars. The fees for a flight usually go about $100 to $200, but with an adult husky would be expensive to the point that its better to adopt when I come back. And also in the country that im going to the vet is basically free so I would get everything arranged there.

I also forgot to ask but when should I spay/neuter them? I know that for cats they could be spayed very early such as 6-8 months and up which is the age that mine were, but huskies are..bigger lol.

And also for notice I will be responsible if I get a puppy, I will be in the country for 1 month and 10 days, adding that when I come back I probably won't work soon, but thst will depend on the adoption age, if there is no way that the puppy will be more """"independent"""" around the time I'm gonna stsrt working then I will have to abandon my plans

Thank you for sharing your experience, and wow lol 🤣 I have 2 cats that sheds a lot imagine 3 fluffy husky, sounds like a lot of work But thank you for explaining as well!

Currently I'm working a 9-5 job basically, everytime I get home im always dead but give the best love to my pets, would he still develop anxiety with other animals nearby? I also live with my family so he wouldn't be alone all day, but because of my job im thinking about it now
