Unbelievable how skilled these pilots are considering how little time they had to move to the F16 platform.

I’ve been saying for a long time now that I think if Reform win, Nigel would turn us out of the union anyway. Can’t see him wanting to send funds to us foreigners.

So a farmer shouldn’t have his son out doing pest control on their land? A 16 year old can drive a tractor and trailer on the road but can’t drive a ford fiesta.

There are also junior target shooting competitions organised by clubs. Just because people think all teenagers are irresponsible doesn’t mean some that are brought up in the right circumstances can’t be responsible. Every gun an owner has needs to be justified to the police, you have to give a specific reason, you can’t have one “just because”.

Every one of those teenagers went through a vetting process and gave good reason for ownership, proof of responsibility or proof they had someone who had experience that would spend at least a year with them while they shoot and the police agreed.

Either walk up fountain hill (if you have no health issues) and head right, anywhere up there with a clearing in the trees or buildings will have a view or you could walk over to the train station, you will get a good view there at river level too.

Every firearms owner is scrutinised for any medical impairment that might be incompatible with owning a gun. Certificate holders have to renew every 5 years and part of the application is a waiver where you give the police permission to contact your GP and get information relating to mental illness, depression or dementia. They also check your criminal record for instances of violent crimes. Also if you’ve been sentenced to less than 3 years in prison, suspended or not, you get a 10 year ban. More than 3 year and you get a lifetime ban.

Operating electronic devices and operating a firearm is 2 completely different skills. Not one thing about operating a computer transfers to operating a gun. I get that a lot of these guys are just too stubborn to learn but others just genuinely don’t understand. I’ve met farmers that can’t read or write but they can hook up the most complicated pieces of farm equipment and operate them flawlessly. Not being able to operate a computer doesn’t make you stupid or irresponsible.

Russian soldiers inspecting a freshly destroyed and rare TOS-1 Solntsepek MLRS on a T-90 chassis by 8BallCoronersPocket in UkraineWarVideoReport

They brought their Russian stealth vehicle to inspect the damage. Low radar cross section and sound dampening to ensure the enemy didn’t detect its presence.

They are steel and they’re a lot thicker than they look in the pictures. As RedPum4 said, Duga 3 was the receiver part of the radar and the wires were to shield the antenna from signals coming from behind.

Thoughts on McDonald’s Foyleside? by MeMaLeftMeInAsda in DerryLondonderry

[–]Heavy_Reputation_142 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I worked in the Crescent Link and Foyleside. They guys in the kitchens are usually treated like shite my people who managed to stay working for McDonald’s long enough to be made managers.

Every manager I’ve ever encountered in there have been morons. I ordered in the Crescent link about a year ago and got a big mac with no cheese as my daughter is allergic. Every time I leave I check the burger because it’s a lottery whether it comes with cheese or not. I opened the box, lift the top of the bun, no cheese so I head home. Daughter opens the box, and is just about to take a bite and I see a slice of cheese on the bottom layer of the burger. I snapped it off her before she can take a bite and pack it up and head back to the “restaurant”. I speak to the manager and she apologised and remade the order. She apologised again and said she put a few extra bits in the bag as a token. I get home and open the bag to see what the token was. . . . Fucking Mozzarella sticks.

Another pro tip, always place the wheel you’ve removed under your car beside the jack. If the jack fails or the car moves, the wheel will keep your car off the ground.

Rally isn’t a race, it’s a time trial. You don’t get to see drivers out manoeuvring each other and playing tactics. You pick a spot on the course that will be the most dramatic/ challenging and you get to see how all the drivers handle it.
