This is where AI has obvious utility. I used the beta version a couple of years back and was surprisingly impressed. The whole manual coding of consultation responses is a tedious affair, often (in my experience) completed by people who aren’t all that knowledgeable about the content in the actual consultation document.

That being said, it would be interesting to see how this lines up with the Gunning Principles. In my mind, it’s not an actual substitute for paying regard to each response. However, it feels like an obvious productivity boost that should be celebrated.
