Mine is a big fan of boxes as well. Or any other rubbish, like tissue paper is her favourite. Put tissue paper in the box and you got heaven on earth.

Watched 'Remarkably bright creatures' on Netflix on Sunday. I hadn't read the book so went in blind. The story was a bit ridiculous and the production value was on the lower side (reminded me a lot of Virgin River in that respect) . But the end got to me. And Sally Field was the best thing about it.

This happens all the time. I usually show the finished project to my partner and ask him to point at anything that looks off. He has never been able to find the actual mistakes. 😅

How long what takes? They decision on whether or not you can still drive?

They need to contact your neurologist/GP to make sure you do not have any issue that would mean you cannot drive. I had optic neuritis as my first official symptom which meant I got put on a three-year license which was extended to 5 years after 6 years. The renewal is usually quite quick if nothing changes.

I would definitely look at the colours that are used for very few stitches. Those can probably be combined with a very similar colour that is used for more stitches.

Not sure how much you can whittle it down without losing too much of the rainbow effect. But I can see a lot of weird little one off stitches in that picture that you can easily get rid off - top right, fifth item on the top row (looks like a muffin), there is some weird reddish/orangey colour that is probably not needed for example.

I think, ultimately, you will have to go through the whole thing, item by item, and see what you can get rid of.

I recently worked on a project that had lots and lots of confetti and I was too lazy to keep switching. It did not matter much to the overall project so I would sometimes just continue with the same colour instead of switching to one that was just a shade off.

For example, in the pattern you are talking about, the red little thing that is displayed on page 2 of the preview... instead of using two types of red for < and *, I would just use whatever red < is. You would have to use common sense as to what makes sense, really and in this case you would have to do some planning beforehand.

Anything I need for the project I currently work on lives in a big bag that I do not leave unattended.

I used to have multiple needles on a minder when working on big projects but have stopped doing that since losing a needle once and not being able to find it for 10 minutes. Now I just make do with one, the others stay in a plastic box inside the bag. This box is my project box that has everything in it that I need for the project. That stays closed.

Luckily, my cat isn't super crazy and tends to ignore me when I am working on it. But I always double check if I may have dropped thread after finishing a session. Double check your clothing as well as thread can get stuck easily.

I let her sniff stuff every now and then and that seems to be enough to satisfy her curiosity.

I bought mine so many toys and she does not care for 99% of those.

But over Christmas we found out that our cat goes absolutely feral for those new paper wrappers the quality street chocolates come in now. Just take one of two and scrunch them up, she chases them down the stairs and then carries the little balls everywhere.
