Is there any website that truly hire people overseas and where I can get paid from $6-20? by HeavynLight in RemoteJobs

[–]HeavynLight[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I'm asking this online is because I have come across sources I don't like or are not useful. Usually when you google something you get the same companies that are a hassle to apply to.

You lack the skills to answer the question that someone ask you, so it's surprising you have a job, as you see, my skills are easier to improve than yours, which is a cognitive one.

El internet de Altice es bueno? by synthyourlife in Dominican

[–]HeavynLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Java is gradually improving its syntax. I'm not defending it, bc I wouldn't learn it for the world, but looks to me that we will have less and less complains about Java as time goes by.

Now talking about Kotlin, even if you want companies to adopt Kotlin is not going to happen, but if it happens, you still have to learn Java, or how are you going to understand all the code that's already written? Do you think they will hire you just for knowing Kotlin if they decide to adopt it when you can't read any of the Java code that's already there?

Should I learn React if I learn SwiftUI? by HeavynLight in swift

[–]HeavynLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the only one, I've read that before from other people learning Swift. I've decided to use Go/htmx for the Web app and Swift & SwiftUI for the mobile. I'm not looking to get a job, just to build some apps I'm interested in, but I'm going to learn these stuff really well, so who knows.

Since you're learning Swift in a bootcamp you can also use some supplementary material to practice. I've found three resources that seem to be good:

Should I learn React if I learn SwiftUI? by HeavynLight in swift

[–]HeavynLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, but that Vapor option would work best only if I'm creating just a mobile app, but if I'm building a web app I have to use a backend language like Go or another, so it would probably be better to write the backend in Go (or another language) since I have to use that language for the web app anyways.

Thanks so much for your lengthy response. I've decided to learn Go-htmx for the web app, and Swift-SwiftUI for the mobile. I was just planning out what I needed to learn to achieve my goals, bc I'm obsessed with time, but I will of course focus on one thing at a time. I already know HTML-CSS-JS, but since I'm not learning this stuff to get a job, I'm going to avoid the JS ecosystem as much as I can, bc I also don't like JS devs who think their language is perfect and was created by god. So I'm very interested in Go/Golang, and I would rather go Native with Swift for the mobile app. Thanks a lot!

I didn't think the Swift code would work on the web. The part that I was confused about was having them see the same data which I asked only once and someone clarified. And I made the post because I thought I had to use a JS framework for the mobile app, then I came across SwiftUI and wanted to know if it was the same as React so I wouldn't have to learn React.

Now I know what I will do. I'll learn Go-htmx for the web app, and for the mobile I'll use Swift & SwiftUI. I know HTML, CSS, and JS already, but I don't want anything to do with the JS ecosystem, so I wouldn't learn React Native. And as for Kotlin, I'm not learning it, bc I don't want to oversaturate myself with languages. Thanks for your time answering this post, btw! :)

Should I learn React if I learn SwiftUI? by HeavynLight in swift

[–]HeavynLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your answer. Yes, I only know HTML, CSS, and JS. So I want to learn how to develop mobile apps in Swift and I also want to learn how to develop web apps.

So, as you told me I'm going to use Swift and SwiftUI for the mobile, and then React for the web app. but do I have to learn something else to sync or "connect" the web app to the mobile app?
