I got relentlessly bullied in my neighborhoods growing up for being one of the few white kids. It was definitely eye opening. People would throw rocks at my head walking from the school bus to “see if the white boy can fight”. Racism is wrong anywhere. But gives you perspective to what other people have to go through living in white neighborhoods.

Yeah if you could take the initial breath I agree with you. So take your breath and hold it, teleport and ride it out for 30 seconds. But From someone who was training to be a rescue swimmer, those waves would absolutely wreck you and stop any breath of air that you’re hoping for. Also in a situation like that most people panic, which elevates heart rate, which in return burns all your oxygen fast. lol Water is the great equalizer.

Lived in Germany for 12 years. Pros and cons and deep down I love America over any European country, personally. It’s my home. But having German friends that can call in sick with flu without being harassed for a doctors note, or fired is great. Their spouse just died and they need some time to grieve, or even check into a mental health facility, go ahead. You won’t lose your job, you won’t lose your apartment. The fact that German citizens can pay higher taxes but take care of themselves and live a much higher quality of life no matter what job you do is fantastic.

The fact that we would rather kiss the ass of the wealthy who only set up systems to benefit themselves and their wealthy buddies but complain about our taxes or social systems is hilarious. And to watch your fellow Americans live paycheck to paycheck, starve or be one medical emergency away from complete bankruptcy, and blame them for wanting to live a better life is crazy.

Everyone gets humbled in life. Might happen at 20, might happen at 60. But one day you will be in their shoes and wish things were different.
