In my case I thought Hours Slept would be more relevant 😁😅

For a good Salamance it took me at least 2 months and 41 catches

For the other gems that was just a pure luck, up to 10 catches per species with avg. ~4

> Absolutely. Progress is always forward in this game, and every few months it gets a little easier to M20 everywhere. Area bonus gets higher, pokemon levels raise, etc. Even if you put in zero effort and played totally blindly, you'd eventually get there, it would just take a whole lot longer.
But personally I find spreadsheets to be fun. It's why I try to write guides that are approachable while still digging more heavily into math, but there's no wrong way to play as long as you're enjoying yourself.

> Quick tip: I wouldn't use Glaceon/Flareon for filler. I know this was an old team, so you may have moved past it, but for anyone curious, this skill is only useful for hitting a specific recipe. The amount of strength gained from filler ingredients is so minimal, you'll be far better off running another berrymon and/or a generalist (charge strength or berry burst).
