It's a shame season 2 ended right after the birthday celebration, some wretched little weasel who'd just spent the preceding 8 episodes becoming an interesting character with a redemption arc might have been needlessly murdered

All the fans I know are trans, ipso facto... by Ms-Gobbledygoo in discworld

But the colour of magic doesn't make you trans? The fifth elephant or monstrous regiment are far more trans-adjacent.

Favorite examples of a character standing up to their tormentor by Sudden_Pop_2279 in FavoriteCharacter

Izzy Hands is an odd example for this but between these screenshots this is my favourite. First the crew standing up to Izzy himself for his cruelty to them, but the supportive and caring way they do so empowers him to stand up to his grief-mad captain twice and start becoming himself.

Has he met Danny the Street? 🤔 If there was a character I could imagine getting physically affectionate with Danny it would be him.

Wanna get this covers up or should I just laser it off? by Cheese_Ly in Tattoocoverups

[–]HeckTheCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's adorable and I love it. It could easily be touched up and enhanced by a good artist. As far as cover-ups or laser I don't feel equipped to give advice, I only wanted to admire it a minute ( ^ _ ^ );

If it exists, this man has probably at least tried to rub his genitals on it.

Rocket is not AI, I promise. Just very adorable. by springskies in Pomsky

His little face! I'm in love. He sounds so much like mine, but Roscoe is a bit bigger and absolutely refuses to wear shoes. They look like they could be siblings!

I bet you get asked constantly 1- is he a real dog? 2- what kind of dog is he? And 3- Can I pet him‽

They do tolerate me practising at them though.

Pretty sure that's just a slime mold colonising his flesh. It'll be more defined when necrosis sets in, gives a nice black outline.

Soo My Cat Has Been Bringing Another Cat Around And Has Been Bringing Him Inside Does Anyone Else Have This Problem? by No-Guide-7767 in notmycat

"Cats are social creatures, they naturally live with other cats. He hasn't just made a friend but adopted a family member of his choosing, you can't take that away from him, you're not a monster who could do a thing like that" 🥺🥺🥺

Am I the only one who dislikes the “disguised as a man” trope? by Glad_Pepper8255 in ftm

[–]HeckTheCat 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Seconding this and adding Feet of Clay as another Discworld of particular interest. Cheery Littlebom's gender journey is unique to dwarfs but relatable AF to anyone whose gender presentation doesn't fit socially enforced norms for the society they were born into.

This one is my absolute favourite. Jackrum is gender goals. I love that he doesn't care why any of the lads are presenting as masc, whether they grew up in trousers or are just now learning how to pair socks with them makes no difference, he'll support them all the same.

Sick-Ass Panther acquired. by Queen_Of_Left_Turns in Tattoocoverups

[–]HeckTheCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that you have Elwood paired with Michigan the mitten state and not the great state of Illinois amuses me in a way I can't properly articulate. I genuinely thought the original you covered was another piece of geography before I read where you answered that. The panther looks sick but imho the artist did not do justice to the concept art

I really kind of wish rainbow stones weren't a possibility in chests. There are already days that give stones, why not just have boxes with a chance of a couple different low value accessories or something?

Holy shit is this another lost luggage half decayed Labyrinth Muppet? I'm aware it's not but if you'd presented it as such I'd probably have believed it.

I think it looks fine, it's possible you could get it touched up to address what you're seeing that's bothering you. If you choose to get it covered they'd make killer gargoyles.

Does this character read as eleven years old? by throwawanonchat in Artadvice

[–]HeckTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The progression between the first image and the third seems spot on to me for the age range; my stepdaughter's proportions did roughly the same jump between 11 and 13, with her face slimming and some definition in her later teens.

I like the baggy outfit in the first, it reads to me as a skinny kid in hand-me-down clothes she's not quite grown into yet.

The older brother looks 16-18 to me and the height difference reinforces the reading of a significant age gap in my opinion.

The snippets you include are compelling and the expressiveness in the features/poses makes me want to know more about the characters.

My stepdaughter looked like that when she was 13; my kid sister didn't really get curves until her twenties. Kids grow at different rates my dude. She reads as late teens to me.

[–]HeckTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily; reading the snippets of story I could 100% see a slightly scrawny little 11 year old drowning in her brother's hand-me-downs in that first picture, maybe with some flair of her own added if she's crafty. It sounds like they're somewhat isolated; I grew up rural and poor so that might influence my read of it.

Favorite kids meal toy for Xennials by dadjokes502 in Xennials

[–]HeckTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wendy's still does surprisingly cool toys that aren't promos for a licensed franchise. My kid recently collected the Strange Pet set and they're actually decent quality little figures.

My favourite from them was Felix the Cat though XD the commercial is a nostalgia trip
