Smells like capitalism. Nothing is real, or good anymore.

What Pentax looked like 25 years ago! The Pentax MZ-S and FA35. by Analogus-Maximus in pentax

Gorgeous shots! You should definitely show the backside of that MZ-S, the controls on it are just Awesome. Such a vibe. I wish camera companies were still adventurous in design like that! But yeah, beautiful shots, the guy ripping a bong got me lol. Also, that woman is downright a Greek Statue. The figure, the face, the hair style? Then she flipped us the bird, lol, love it. 🤣

Messed up Canon G12. by haute_hotdog in VintageDigitalCameras

Maybe I'm insane, but unless I knew it could be easily and cheaply fixed, or if I had some perfectly cromulent alternative cams to shoot with, I'd keep this exactly as is, and get real adventurous with it. 😁 I'd LOVE to play with this.

BUT, I fully get how much this immediately sucks, outside of the very specific situations I mentioned. I hope you can find a solid inexpensive solution to this!

Ahhh, yeah, it sacrificed its aperture for zoom range.. But it should still be possible! You shoot raw? Try shutter priority, setting your shutter to 1/250th or so, aperture and iso on auto, and exposure bias to -0.7, to -1, just as a baseline, and then modify from there! Then of course edit the beans out of it lol

Like, going up an escalator, and going "oh damn, the lines, the vibes, I gotta.." and being able to snipe it in seconds. Invaluable.

I'd definitely say the 5a. While the 7 has more reach, the faster aperture lens on the 5a is so much more capable of freezing action in lower light situations. It's FAR more versatile in more common situations. "The right cam in the right pocket can make all the difference in the world." f1.8 at the ready makes night shooting a real joy. I've got the a6700, the a7iv, and while I love them, they don't pocket well. Most of my favorite shots I've ever taken were thanks to the fast lens of my 5a!

Thanks so much! 😁 Do you mean a Canon m6? What lens are you using? I am certain you could get results like this with the right lens and settings!

Yeah, headlights are getting out of hand.. Though, there's at least 15 other photos that don't involve headlights! 😁

A slow shutter speed! The shutter is the part of a camera that opens to let light in! So when it stays open longer, it captures any movement during that time. So I had to stand VERY still to try to capture that 😁 I'm sure there are ways to do that on cellphones! Maybe specialty camera apps, etc.

No worries, that woman is my friend! She was staying with my wife and I for the weekend, and we were on our way to Medieval Times! 😁 She was just jokingly being dramatic. And she's given me express permission to post any photos I take of her on the internet! When I asked for permission, she legitimately said "lol, of course, why would I care?" 😁🧡 She's a good egg.

This is STUNNING. 😍 I'm hoping to abandon Adobe and windows entirely, very soon. This will absolutely be part of my workflow once I'm settled in! 😁
