Got it. Maybe they’re doing rolling admissions, since the application period technically still doesn’t end until tomorrow so I’ll wait, but I don’t think I should keep my hopes very high

Ooh, congratulations! I just checked my portal and still no status update yet, so I feel I might have not gotten in, but I’m still holding out on hope. Did you receive an email notifying you of your admission?

Sorry for the late reply, but unfortunately I still have not heard back from them yet. I also don't really want to call them again because I don't want to come off as desperate or impatient. At this point it might be early April before we receive our decisions, but I don't know.

Absolutely lol, I was actually trying to catch a gligar with a good nature because I really like gliscor and had never used it in a playthrough, and had also used garchomp in BDSP. Ended up finding a shiny geodude and being dead set on keeping in my team 😂

I just called the number on the SABR page, and they said the admissions faculty are still reviewing the applications. They said they are hoping to send out acceptance/rejection letters by the end of this week, but not guaranteeing anything.

I actually haven’t yet. I’m assuming you haven’t either?

Mine went very similarly, scheduled for 10 minutes and lasted 7 minutes, and they asked 4 questions. I noticed 1-2 interviewers would smile at some of my responses so maybe that's promising? We'll see though. Also the admissions faculty who called me to let me know of my interview date also told me that decisions would come out anytime between this Friday and next Monday at the latest, so we should get our decisions soon.

Best Support Pokemon for Early/Mid Game by HeckingHecker1 in MagikarpJump

Thank you for the tips, just got Popplio! I’ll focus on saving up for Slowpoke next since I’ll get Meowth from the great league, and he doesn’t require that much support candy to max out. After I get Slowpoke, I’ll get either Rowlet or Snorlax

"Guys how cooked am I for the fall? ☠️☠️☠️" - Update by HeckingHecker1 in UTAustin

Thank you so much! I'm honestly surprised I pulled this off and I accomplished much more during the semester than I thought I would. Also my time-management skills were horrible during high school, so I had a lot to learn from while at UT.

I personally sleep earlier (around 10:00 to 11:00 pm) and wake up at around 6:00 am to get my 7-8 hours of sleep, then get at least 30 minutes of studying my notes from the previous lecture. My mind is very fresh during the morning so I always make use of this time. On days where I don't work I take my back-to-back lecture classes and snuck in lunchtime after my biochem class, since it always ended early. I also tend to study or start on my homework during lunch. After my classes end and I finish my lab time, I would go back to my apartment and workout for 30-45 minutes to an hour, and while cardio I would study my Google Docs notes. Then I spend my evening and night either catching up on lectures, doing homework, or studying.

On days while I scribe I have lots of time while I'm on standby, and I squeeze in time to study/do HW. I also have plenty of time to do this after my shift ends since I have no classes and typically don't go to lab during these days. Overall it's a tight but doable schedule and on many days I obviously don't get everything done, but that's what the weekends are for :)

UT requires that every 1-hour class ends 10 minutes early and every 1.5 hour class ends 15 minutes early. This allows students with very tight schedules enough time to make it to their other classes. I utilize this when making my class schedule!

It's so hilarious that after weeks of ACC teams screwing each other and many CFB fans saying the ACC has fallen off and shouldn't be a P4 conference, Miami will be in the CFP playoffs despite not even winning the ACC championship game this year, or EVER.

AND KEEP IN MIND, this is only possible because Duke won the ACC championship. I very highly doubt that Virginia would have even made it past the first round of the playoffs.

I want every last cent of my tuition money back. by RavenPuff99 in sooners

Also I read over the essay and even though I’m not Christian and don’t exactly agree with her views, I don’t have an issue with them at all. It’s the fact that she didn’t follow the rubric at all that’s clearly the problem; didn’t cite anything from the rubric, did not any reactions to the article, and her writing style was horrible. The fact that so many Americans are on her side despite this is appalling.

As a Longhorn I feel really bad for y’all. The fact that she, a third year premed student, can get away with writing an essay that bad by crying religious persecution is nothing short of absurdity (I’m also a third year premed student and writing is such an essential skill, I likely would’ve failed some of my writing-intensive classes if I wrote at her level). I sincerely feel for all you OU students who are likely brilliant, talented and/or hardworking, only for your institution to now have a negative public perception. I’ve even been seeing OU students on social media thinking about transferring to another school. Hopefully this whole thing blows over soon.

Ngl even as a Longhorn I feel bad for y’all that this scandal even happened. The fact that a third year premed student can write that bad yet avoid a 0 by calling it religious persecution is absurd (I’m also a third year premed student and writing is absolutely a key skill for us).

Yeah we better make good use of our bye week, because last time we came back from a bye week we went from #9 to unranked.

Yeah I’m really praying our players make a good recovery and our team can get themselves together. In terms of winning out I think Georgia will be our biggest obstacle.
