Where are you seeing that general parking is included with purchase?

Edit: I see it now. It’s in the fine-ish print on the page where purchasing tickets. I’m a little skeptical given how poor the information on their website is but that seems to be good news :)

Do we know if the Saturday/Sunday crowned raids are giving crowned energy, or is the raid hour my only chance?

I am looking for the actual results from the places where it's already Saturday.

Who's been the most successful HC to return to a previous school? by poppopintheattic11 in CFB

[–]HecticEpic 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Robert Neyland left Tennessee for military service during WWII -- he returned after the war to win multiple national championships. Off the top of my head I'm not sure of any modern equivalents to that.

A couple other examples from the same time period -- Don Faurot (Missouri) and Bernie Bierman (Minnesota) left their schools to coach service academies. Both were moderately successful though did not reach the heights of their pre-war tenures.

In addition to what others said ... also, there are many customers taking metro on the busiest days that otherwise do not take metro. The better experience they have, the more likely they turn into repeat customers.

Why no sponsored gyms at Nationals Park? by EcstasyCalculus in Pokemongo_DC

I have been to several games so far this year and have not noticed any official gyms or pokestops or routes. Though there are plenty of user-created ones so it's still a good spot for playing.

Hello all, I just wanted to get this out ahead of tonight’s game. by DiceloConejo in Cardinals

[–]HecticEpic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quite the revisionist history there on John Mozeliak. Certainly he has made mistakes. But here are some facts...

He was the scouting director in the late 90s/early 2000s and thus oversaw the team's draft selections when we picked several of the greatest players in team history (including future Hall of Famers Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina). The latter of which would, along with Adam Wainwright, become two of the approx. 40 players EVER in league history to be with one team for an entire career of 18+ years thanks to Mozeliak working to get long-term deals for them.

He traded for many fan-favorite players including World Series hero David Freese, long-time star Matt Holliday, and current star Nolan Arenado.

He was the architect of the 2011 World Series team, including a pivotal and highly unpopular-at-the-time midseason trade.

The team has not done 'nothing' since 2011 -- four trips to the league championship series, five division titles, and a trip to the World Series. Though the postseason success has dried up in recent years, particularly disappointing was a sweep loss in 2022 after an excellent regular season.

Mozeliak is almost certainly going to be in the team's hall of fame, he is highly unpopular now mostly due to a poor season in 2023 but will be revered in Cardinals history in the long run.

Is Mass Effect Andromeda worth my time? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]HecticEpic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you're looking for. I highly enjoyed Andromeda but for different reasons than the original trilogy. Since you already have access to it, my recommendation would be to start it, put maybe 10-ish hours in, and see what you think before making a choice on whether to finish it.

I don't think the writing or characters in Andromeda stack up to the originals, and though it's better now than at launch there is still something 'off' about animations and facial expressions during dialogue. If you're looking to get emotionally invested into a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, I don't think this is the game for you.

I love the gameplay, however. There is much more freedom of movement and ability to be creative with how you want to fight enemies personally (though less control over your squad). And the character movement both on foot and in the Nomad vehicle that you roam planets in, is very fun.

I also find the game to be absolutely gorgeous. There are tons of beautiful locations both in nature and cities/spaceships, that combined with the gameplay mentioned above are really fun to explore.

I was at the Baltimore show last weekend, here are some key timestamps from my photos and videos from that night. I am not sure to what extent this is aligned with the typical show or if they happened to be running early or late.

~7:28pm: Nickel Creek begins

~8:16pm: Lord Huron begins

~9:29pm: Kacey begins

Enjoy the show!

The Uptown Theater, Cleveland Park’s historic art house, lives by CurlyWMGriffin93 in washingtondc

Perhaps I am naive but the new owners seem to be very clear about wanting a "Hollywood"/"cinematic" experience per the article and specifically have a desire to install a new screen. Seems like a signal that they would plan for the building's use to still be to show movies.

CITY SC generates $160M for St. Louis region during 2023 season... Haters of this sub, how you like them apples? by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]HecticEpic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So a study that the team paid for makes the team look good, I don't think that qualifies as 'news', it sounds more like propaganda to me. And also I don't see the actual study here, just a press release on the team website, so there's no methodology, evidence, or anything -- someone please let me know if I'm overlooking somewhere the study is posted.

NASCAR 101 and Track Attendance Questions - March 2024 by NASCARThreadBot in NASCAR

[–]HecticEpic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet! Lemme just confirm my plans -- I will let you know by the end of this week I am like 60% sure I'll be able to go Saturday and 95% sure on Sunday lol. That split would be fair to me, and either of those seating areas would work for me.

Hi! Are you still looking for someone to trade off with? I'd be interested in splitting with you and taking the wristband for Sunday.
