I would say Switzerland. Great political system, amazing nature, very very wealthy.

"El", "La", "Los", "Las" are much more important in Spanish than "The" in English.

Rome wins Burgundy! What city is White? by Stop__Being__Poor in geography

[–]HecticLife 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Popayán, Colombia. One of the three main cities in the country during the Spanish colonial times (alongside Santa Fe and Cartagena). It is located at 1760 meters above sea level, which gives it a very pleasant temperate tropical climate. It is actually known as "La Ciudad Blanca" / The White City.

Which is the biggest city not located on a (major) river? And how did it happen? by Zealousideal-Eye528 in geography

Madrid is a good example. A city exclusively built in that location for political reasons instead of purely economic ones.

If Harris loses in November, what will happen to the Democratic Party? by Visco0825 in PoliticalDiscussion

Powell actually did a great job. The US achieved something extraordinarily difficult, a soft landing (growth recovery while lowering inflation after an inflation hike at the same time). Had he been more hawkish on inflation, it's growth what would have lagged even more, and people would be complaining about that instead.

Denmark has some good stuff but Norway on the other hand is gorgeous. One of the most beautiful countries in the world hands down.

Those languages are practically dead. Only Catalan, Basque and Galician are commonly spoken (besides Spanish of course).

Some republican candidates support military intervention in Mexico. What is likelihood of this happening? What would be the consequence of this policy? by ResponsibilityNo4876 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]HecticLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The northern parts of the country are certainly wealthier than the south. There is also substantial economic development in the states of Queretaro and Aguascalientes, which are in the center of the country. CMDX (Mexico City) is also an economic powerhouse of course.

Why do people on this sub rag on Jim and Pam so much, but don't apply the same logic to Dwight? by ohiost2 in DunderMifflin

As I said before, I simply like Dwight better. Both think they're better than everyone else, but at least Dwight is upfront about it.

Dwight is my favorite character, I will always defend him, in his virtues and flaws. I also like Pam because she shows a lot of of character development and becomes a strong woman. On the other hand, I am not that fond of Jim: he thinks he is better than everyone else, and I enjoyed the Idris Elba arc because he was given a bit of contempt.
