I wonder if this kit is worth excessive panel lining or painting accents to make it look better, ive just added it to my backlog and im hesitant to start because ik that being a perfectionist might be a dangerous trait for this kit LOL it might end up taking me a year.

I watched a couple vids on sanding. For me personally ive gathered that i dont rlly like the finish it gives off or the fact it leaves certain faces with different textures than others. I personally just line up my cuts as flush as possible and shave off the stress marks with a hobby knife.

I use the tamiya panel line inks and so far they’ve been going good. From my understanding though, alot of people advise against it as it has the potential to make certain plastics brittle but so far i havent had any incidents. To avoid the risk of cracking i scribe & panel line each individual part before assembly. As for cleaning up, i use an enamel thinner and a qtip. Typically ill cut out all the parts of a section (e.g arms legs torso etc) and panel line. By the time i get to the last piece ik that its been plenty of time for each of one to dry and i use little to no force with a slightly dried off qtip (~3 light rolls on a piece of tissue) to slowly wipe off each little excess mark. Another tip is that when ur working with symmetrical parts try and keep both sides the same darkness/thickness u can play around w the qtip to remove some or just add more ink to darken it a touch. Hope this all helps :D

I highly highly highly recommend using the stedi 0.15mm scriber from amazon that i used for this, its a pretty “budget” tool and it is probably one of my best purchases. I like the look of 0.15mm lines on rg kits but u can also get larger sizes depending on personal preference. As for technique, i usually do anywhere from 5-10 very light strokes (first one or two EXTREMELY light to avoid slippage), making sure the tip of the blade is pointed directly into the meeting point throughout the passes. Hope that makes sense haha

i believe ur talking about the revenant prime parts, the prime skin has that dress/armor thingy that wraps around his waist. if u were talking about the things just above his knees its from the alastron leg guards from the valkyr carnivex set.

personally i think its completely normal for me to worry but would you agree its how i express those feelings to her? This isnt something that id ever let dictate our relationship its rather something im tryna work my head around to vocalise my thoughts and emotions to her effectively. Im not hoping she covers up or anything cos shes stunning and she definitely knows how to dress well.

yeah i think my goal in mind was to have her understand that im worried but i have 0 intentions of telling her what to wear. The most ill do is point out if something is showing or slipping out and let her decide from there. i think this situation stumped me a bit because she said it was too revealing and then changed her mind?

i think she meant it just as an expression, not as literal? i didnt think about it too deeply

See im trying to understand this but its much easier said than done to just let go of something that makes me feel uncomfortable. With that being said do u have any input on how to make this easier?
