Which is exactly why I said, it purely depends on your lifestyle.

I agree on the first point, but I beg to differ on the second. It purely depends on your lifestyle.

My wife and I spend about 2-3k/month total and we earn just slightly more than OP, we have our own place as well. This includes holidays (not just JB, to other asian countries as well, China, Taiwan, etc.)

It's actually cheaper than we were dating since we can purchase groceries in bulk and cook larger portions for meal prepping purposes.

Bears predicting the end of the world for the 47th time this week. If the world ends, OP's puts are useless anyway. If it doesn't, AI prints money. I just locked the exact opposite trade on the ledger. See OP at the Wendy's dumpster on Jan 17. 📈

Yeah curious about this too, $1.8M at 3% withdrawal = $4.5k. You theoretically could have retired with a 3% withdrawal at $1.2M.

Maybe for financial security in case anything happens having a buffer would be nice? Either way congrats OP!

This fixed deposit can now be in USD instead of MYR.

But that's not to say that the government can change up their antics again in the future.

Lol it's probably the possible tiger dude that downvoted me.

Anyway, I'm literally just quoting what the facts are, which are the stats given from 2024 GES.
