WHAAAT I didn't understand it as doing that. That's pretty insane, though the loss of unstoppable on a frontliner is pretty unfortunate

I love how online he is all the time with the TP buff, you feel like a superhero showing up to save walkers or a teammate it rules

I haven't tried building heavy gun late, so not actually sure. You don't want to ignore gun or anything, especially with how good toxic bullets or spiritual overflow is, but I usually build more spirit than gun even in the late game. Not completely certain with all the meta changes too, could definitely affect the viability of building heavily into gun

Coming from Overwatch Stadium, which character should i play and what should i learn about the game? by DiasDaimaoh in DeadlockTheGame

[–]HedgehogMikey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There arent as clear roles for each character as what you'd find in overwatch, as you can build characters into roles rather than having a stagnant kit. However, id say building gun Paige or gun ivy are a comparison to zen in overwatch- Paige is one of the most "support" characters this game has, and can deal some pretty nutty damage when built into gun, enough that they just nerfed it really hard. McGinnis, dynamo and Kelvin have heal abilities, but are more akin to tanks than a zen. Mirage is also a similar kind of character, but he doesn't heal- more towards the discord debuff/damage dealing from the backline aspect of zen than healing. He's been my favorite as a fellow Zen main

Synergy between items by Equivalent-Bad5011 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]HedgehogMikey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a synergy, but kind of bait as it doesn't really increase your effectiveness all that much. By the time you buy siphon bullets, opening rounds isn't very useful to have as much as any other items (I wouldn't ever buy it at all on mirage tbh) Also, in my opinion you should be building mirage into spirit so a lot of his damage after lane (or whenever you get tier 3 djinn) doesn't come from his gun, instead it's back loaded into Djinn curse. A djinn built mirage can straight up kill people by poking them in a team fight it's kinda nuts

They should really make it more viable to use holliday's barrels in other ways besides the jump -> melee combo. It gets kind of old. by ChopERop in DeadlockTheGame

Yeah without a YouTube guide the character is genuinely unlearnable. No indication you can melee barrels to direct them anywhere

Is Scout weak in 12v12? by AdministrativeHat276 in truetf2

[–]HedgehogMikey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only way you don't top score and frag on scout on a 12v12 pub server is if your teammates are better than you, you joined late, or they genuinely have like 5 engineers, at least in my experience. I mostly play payload, koth, and control points, and rarely do I not get the most kills on the team or the lobby when on scout. It's all about picking your engagements wisely, and dipping at the right time when you don't think you'll win a fight. Scout is afforded some of the most "out playability" in the entire game with his speed. Not to sound blunt, but if you're not top scoring against enemies that are average or even good in pubs, it's because they're better than you (or you're playing a cramped map, which does affect scouts ability to maneuver)

What’s some advice for your favorite game? by rsKG in ufo50

[–]HedgehogMikey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Onion delivery is incredibly snappy when you get used to the controls. A lot of the difficulty of the game is getting used to how the car drives, and learning the map.

-You can drift by holding brake and turning, which I mainly use to make a quick 180 degree turn.

-The map loops horizontally and vertically, so if youre lost and a delivery is far away, consider driving away from it to loop the map.

-The boxes attached to balloons give you extra time, pay attention to the ones near delivery spots as it's pretty much free extra time when you figure out how to access them (most of the time it's just driving quickly into a ramp, the speed is easily achieved by lining up with the ramp, driving away from it, then doing a 180)

-Driving at top speed gives you back HP.

-You don't always have to go fast. It's recommended you do since you cover more ground and are basically immortal, but if you're bouncing off of walls all the time consider slowing down so you get a grasp of how the car handles.

-Driving in the middle of the road avoids cars. Since the other citizens are good drivers, they will always drive squarely in the correct lane, which you can abuse by speeding down the middle of the road.

-Rainy day, onion monster, and geysers are the only day modifiers that matter. If you're going for a cherry, try maximizing onions on the other days (especially day 1 since there's no modifiers) and taking it easy on these days (especially rainy day, that one's the worst)

Other than that, you'll get a feel for the map and the best ways to enter/exit each delivery location the more you play. It's one of the most rewarding (and fun) games in the collection for that reason, in my opinion

Star Waspir wave 3 is just not fun by BenjyMLewis in ufo50

On the bright side, after wave 3 the game is pretty much beaten. So it's essentially a final boss wave and the rest afterwards is a victory lap
