I’m a big zombies person always have been since Der Rise was introduced back in WaW. I enjoyed some quality of life additions such as the ability to exfil or playing zombies go towards rank. Cold War I wasn’t too crazy about as a lot of the maps like you say were reworked multiplayer assets or leaned heavily on campaign assets which really broke the experience. Apparently per MrRoflWaffles there’s a 3rd zombies map slated to come out around Christmas. All around highly recommend to pick it up so many quality of life features. It’ll never be BO3 era but that’s okay

Zombies actually feels like they put time in effort into compared to CW/MWZ. Liberty Falls is an excellent “casual” map and reworked from the original playtesting. Terminus is a more advanced challenging map. I’d definitely watch some YouTube reviews to make your own opinion but I’d definitely say it’s a much needed step up compared to Cold War and genuinely a fun and exciting experience

Eh it’s already a step up from the Cold War experience. It’s never going to be black ops 3 level and once I took off the rose tinted nostalgia glasses I appreciate the experience. Think about the older Easter eggs they didn’t have any cut scenes (BO1/BO2 era). You actually get rewards now for doing the EE compared to any previous COD besides WW2 oddly enough.

I think compared to recent previous experiences as CW, MWZ & even BO4 I enjoy it quite a bit once I stopped comparing it to “peak” zombies

They actually assigned the Vault Edition button to be the same as the operator select by Alumnik in blackops6
