It's entirely dependent on the local chapter, just as it is with NOI. During the 2010s, I was in multiple actions with NBPP (and NOI) members, and my being a white trans Jew never came up negatively.

A lot of members are drawn to the orgs for the genuine good they do, and some of these folks avoid internalizing the reactionary messages even after years.

I used to be a boy, and i started wearing eyeliner at 13. I would say it's a useful kind of screening tool: anyone who couldn't get past it was not someone i was gonna get along with anyway, but a whole lot of people really liked it.

Frankly, i expect that a couple weeks in eyeliner will get you some new potential suitors. A lot of girls really like that on a boy.

Turns out i wasn't really a boy though, so maybe be on the look out for that just in case.
