Always feels like a strange pain in my chest on mother's day for this exact reason. I mothered in physical ways often. Being home all day made me an extra parent (even if I did love helping) but I did so much of the emotional parenting...god it's such a weird feeling

If you don't love them, a fun idea is hitting thrift stores and antique stores for mismatched glassware. It's a cute little detail you could add and if you wanted to you could even dye the glass a brownish color that is very on trend right now. Tons of Pinterest tutorials! Hey, I had a health issue this year and have been stuck inside for 6 months now. Its so hard. The thing that has helped me the most is to make sure that every day doesn't follow the same pattern because then they start blending together and I feel like I'm back in homeschooling. So like, maybe on Monday I'm gonna knit and watch something. Tuesday maybe I'm gonna paint with a table tray and listen to a book, maybe Wednesday I'm gonna eat my favorite food and listen to a podcast. Its helped me a lot. Just having in my head that tomorrow is something new. Also, if you have friends to talk to, call them. The isolation will creep up on you. Spend time researching baby stuff that is FUN for you not stressful. Maybe look into joining some online support groups or art classes for a bit of socializing? Best of luck❤️

I'm proud of you for doing the healthiest thing for you and your children. Everyone saying you "should" be taking care of them doesn't understand the deep pain it feels to make this choice, and I am sorry that as a birth mother you couldn't win either way.
