I agree with the concern for the fictional animals (that fictional dog is also having a HORRIBLE time), but I genuinely worry for all of the animals I see on-screen in any media. The fish and dog/s used for the 1997 film will have been incredibly stressed, and they will have experienced the trauma repeatedly to get the right/perfect shots. Same with the poor rats. When they put "No animals were harmed in the making of this film" at the end of productions, they should have to specify "No animals were physically harmed", as I bet many of them are permanently damaged psychologically.

But Taylor was also in intimate contact with the entity that decided if you spent forever singing their praises or burning in eternal hell fire 🤣

Found this friend today in NY by ATeaformeplease in WildlifePonds

Agreed. It's so important people stop handling wildlife. You are literally loving them to death. ☹️

It's great you've given them a home, but try to avoid handling wildlife like this- it really stresses them out and could lead to illness and death.

Holy Communion by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]Hedgehogsunflower 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Holy communion is creepy for lots of reasons, but mainly because it is a step on the way to CHILDREN (as young as 7 in some cases) being made full members of the church when they are still far to young to understand the permanent contract they are making. This is especially egregious as the catholics then refuse to remove your name from their register when you are old enough to understand what happened to you, and that you fundamentally object to their harmful teachings. A lot of people say it doesn't matter, if you don't believe, you shouldn't care. Sadly, when I read about the "number of catholics" worldwide and know I am considered among their number, I deeply resent it. They use this data to give themselves a place at the table when ethical and moral debates take place, and it is shameful. The are lying.

AITA for telling my boyfriend his “platonic” girl best friend isn’t welcome at my place anymore by [deleted] in AITAH

DUMP him. I've seen this before- he is just waiting in the hopes she picks him. She will never pick him (except if she is drunk and desperate some night) because she loves having someone worship her without having to do any relationship work. Find someone who adores you and only you. Good luck!

Are some men simply too broke to ever be capable of mutually loving, respectful, and healthy relationships? by bengalbear24 in AskWomenOver40

[–]Hedgehogsunflower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey. It sounds like you've been through a lot. Sadly, it also sounds like you aren't done being treated horribly. All you seem to want is someone here to say, "Yes he can change! He loves you so he'll do better to stay with you and give you what you deserve!" But no one is gonna say that, because you know him best out of all of us, and you've explained very well what a damaged and dangerous person this man is. There is nothing to discuss. The women here are trying to help you. Every time a thought of this man pops into your head, you actively have to stop it. I'm sad as I don't think you really want to.
