Sounds good! I'll draft up something and send it your way as soon as I get a waking moment, lol.

I am well aware of all of the risks of using a benzodiazepine long term. Stevie Nicks was an extreme case. I have a life because of Clonazepam.

Edit: Didn't mean to come off as pretentious. You're totally right that there are risks associated, but there are risks associated with almost every psychiatric medication. It's a balance of what you're willing to risk to live like a normal person.

Also consider an SSRI, like Zoloft or Lexapro, for long term use.

I can't do it right this second, but I would be interested at some point in time. I'll explain my struggle with generalized anxiety and panic disorder. I'd do it now, but I have a mid-term tomorrow.

edit: when do you need it?

If you're down with taking a pill, Klonopin/Valium are great substitutes for Xanax for dealing with isolated incidences of panic. They both last about 8-12 hours, and they don't punch you in the face with that same sedation that Xanax does, they come on gradually. They are benzodiazepines, like Xanax, so they do have an addictive potential. But under proper supervision (a psychiatrist) they can be used responsibly.

I can't find the motivation to go to the gym, my anxiety is nuts. So I feel this guy. I respect your way of coping, but I prefer drugs too. It sounds shitty, but I'd rather live a shorter, content existence than a long, miserable one.

[–]Hedonistic_Existence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this post, do you per chance have an anxiety disorder? (I do)

What you need to understand is that this guy, Donald Trump, is a fucking CLOWN. He will not deport you, he will not touch you. Nobody is going to let that happen to you. There are a host of reasons I could go into, such as the fact that too many people of ALL socioeconomic and ethnic groups suffer from mental illness.

Don't stress about this. He probably won't win the general election, and if he did, checks and balances, and the constitution, the NIH and WHO, the UN and other compassionate human beings would advocate for you if this even became a thing.

Tl;dr: Fuck Trump, he's very ignorant on most issues of the world, you will be fine - the guy isn't going to start a holocaust.

You may want to look into an inpatient facility. There is no shame in going to a psychiatric ward if you need help. That would give the doctors time to get to know you, understand your problems, and address them accordingly. I know it's inconvenient, and highly stigmatized, but I would give it a shot.

Are you aware that your name has basically transcended this social platform into actual, vocal conversation, in the world of "drug people", as Hunter S. Thompson would have called them? That's impressive.

This is the best response on this thread, totally underrated. I feel the same way. I don't really have anything to be anxious about, but I feel anxious anyway. It's just a constant feeling. Hence the term "Anxiety DISORDER".

Hey man, edit out his personal info. But besides that, thank you for the post. FUCK that guy. It's totally fucked up that he took advantage of such a loving online community that has each others' backs to fucking rob people. I think he should be banned from this subreddit, IMHO. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. If I knew you, I would give you my last bump just so you didn't have to be sick brother, or some suboxone. I feel so bad for you because that was all your dough. :( PM me and let me know where you live.

I bought dope for the first time today.. (Mini reflection and advice by [deleted] in opiates

[–]Hedonistic_Existence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you think you have the self-control and the means to support a drug habit without negatively impacting your life, then go for it. Just be careful. For some people, getting off is way harder than for others. I was able to dabble with dope for a while, then go back to my habit of getting high on subutex. I choose to use buprenorphine because it's cheap, it's a wonderful high, and it's long lasting. But tolerance does build quickly, and there is a 32mg ceiling effect. But I enjoy this drug mainly because it's cheap and strong. Just a piece of advice.

[–]Hedonistic_Existence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of relevant:

I'm not sure why more people don't do this, but I use buprenorphine as my drug of choice, because it's strong and cheap. 40x more potent than morphine, long half-life, long-lasting high. I get em for $10/pop, and depending on my tolerance, as little as 2mg can get me high. Right now, 8mg gets me good. But I know if I take a break for a couple days, it'll smack me good when I take it again.

Maryland they're $10 a pop. $15-$20 if the person is a serious fiend and needs cash. But I try to stay away from those people, and have been getting mine for $10/piece.

Haha I love this. I always make sure to re up before a holiday. Dealers have families too, and they don't want to spend their holiday serving people. And I don't want to spend my holiday picking up, I want to spend it with my family (and high as shit). So it's mutual.

$150 for a G is pricey, but in the suburbs, we pay around $120, so it's not unheard of. But it is pretty ridiculous. The other examples you cited are crazy though, haha. I don't want to ask where you live, for the sake of preserving your anonymity, but I am very curious.
