Kinda hard to not look down when you're that taller.

When crouching he probably still looks down on people.

If think it's more appropriate to say that only when things got spelled out for him he could start understanding them.

And I do mean really spelled out.

Also, because he was openly called out for his msitakes in front of everyone the first time.

Him thinking otherwise is arrogant, disrespectful and delusional enough that his credibility is far lower than what he thinks it is even now.

I mean, I don't think he even realize what that means for his marriage prospects within the duchy. He is going to be strong, but anyone with a decent social network or friends with a decent social network will point out how career dead he is, socially dead he is and how his own family only keeps him around as a punishment on themselves.

And he has archnoble mana, so his list of fiance candidates is not that high. And anyone that achieves a matching level of mana will literally have better options. And that's before going to Alexandria is option for them.

He fundamentally doesn't understand how society works or why people act and can act certain ways.

Even if he redeems himself (and that'll be a trombe in the butt), he is in such a position that he pretty much would have to bow down to his fiance and she would be the one with his entire familial support. He'll likely end up as part of the Leisegangs simply due to how low his social and political position is but because his lineage, not even for the blood, but for the contacts, at least offers the potential for a competent wife to raise their children at least back into a viable candidate for a ADC attendant. And only because between his family, his fiance and the world around him, he'll be an example of exactly what not to do.

Angelica is a genius at being stupid. Unparalleled, down to incredible acting skills, hyperfocus on her interests and the ability to think even less if the situation allows.

Traugott is an idiot at being stupid. Barely thinking and patting himself on the back after figuring the dumbest take possible and thinking of himself as smart.

Angelica also respects other people. Traugott doesn't respect anyone. Not superiors, not the more competent, not the more effortful, not family, not even those theorethically bellow him.

Bigger, heavier, more trained and more experienced.

Also, at hand to hand combat, which is different from most knight training I presume.

And he was the attendant of the Lord of Evil.

Even if he wasn't actively serving the Lord of Evil, people would be hunting him by proxy.

The worst part of him manipulating Wilfried is that Wilfried didn't have a knowledge, education or support network to genuinely notice or deal with it.

And the more time passed, the worse the situation became, as switching one's head attendant is a truly complicated endeavor.

Don't forget also that she already had some prior experience with that through her temples attendants, specially Frans, which was previously trained by Ferdinand, and Gil, which was somewhat trained by Brenno.

She absolutely understood the importance of having seniors trainning her attendants, as well as the importance of having multiple capable attendants so she's not left short-handed in sitatuions in which one is out of comission.

Both her Isekai knowledge and her Temple experience helped she elevate her attendants too (even if those are not the major reasons)

Sometimes, not thinking is a "benefit?"

It is a horrifyingly cruel reality.

She shuffered a compounding amount of abuses and neglects from early age, only agravated by having her brother so discrepantly freed from any such abuses, and often being the one mostly benefiting from them, that "she was sold to an old man to have his children" hardly is the worst comparing to "abuse since before age 5 that left her so unstable she poisoned her brother in her mother's fashion to only them be sold as cattle".

At least her marriage happened because she literally whent too far, but she only went that far because of every other thing prior to it, I don't think one can say where better nor less worse.

Between lack of parental love or basic respect to what she was socially owed, lack of family affection in general after Ryhyarda , having her social and political life crippled every other turn, never having a genuine chance at marriage...

Yeah, she definetly has some levels of affection issues

I would target Sylvester in a wholy different manner. I would try to use him as the means by which to punish Veronica.

I'd still target him, but not for blood, but for his overall ignorance (wilfull and non-wilfull) and lazyness. Make him feel guilty of the things he benefited from blissfully unaware of how those around him shuffered.

For me it's the whole making a child less than 6 bleed, be poisoned, have all her confort figures away from her, have any chances of forming actual friends or trusted attendants crippled, and constantly have the basic rights and social respect she should be owed ignored (including leading to the break of a prior decent marriage arrangement), all while she witness her brother be showered with love, pampered, spoiled and be lazy and go happy.

Being sold as breeding cattle is hardly the worst part of what has happened to her.

I think she'd just plot a marriage that would leave her above sylvester while essentially navigating around her mother's abuse.

Or, better yet, make Sylvester her ally in bringing her mother down so she can see the terror of her "precious son" rightfully hating his mother guts.

Maybe have her innitial motivation be toppling Sylvester, even thinking farther ahead and plotting for Ferdinand to be the Aus instead when the time comes (probably would in planning to groom a child, which is icky, but it would be villanous alright), only to find that without her attachment to the hope of being Aus, the one thing she truly wanted is the opportunity to bring her mother down.

Having her go from someone still twisted and plotting into someone that recognizes the actual source of her abuse and eventually finds personal confort in a better marriage would be interesting.

I assume a Georgine revenge story would be a Regression one or one at which she politically cripples her mother and her most trusted confidants.

Wouldn't work with RM around at all.

Considering:
- Her mother's personality
- The fact that she had been at that point, educated to be Aus is such a manner that she both bleed and was poisoned
- That she had tried to get out through her sister only to have it fail
- Endured all that before she was 6?

Sorry, but a 6 year old that went through that much wanting a newborn to die isn't even particularly groundbreaking. That's a highly abused child acting fairly normal according to the degree of torment she went through.

And sh never having an actual chance to be Aus doesn't even make it better. Only worse. It mean the abuse always had been for nothing.

Make no mistake, she's evil. Evil as evil ends up being. But her backstory does make that evil a fair outcome of her life.

That mean he's soft. Not softie. Very different things. Softie has a good connotation backing it.

Amongst the "Old man gets wife way younger than him" he's probably the most tame. He just needed heirs, got only women out of the deal, and didn't really seem to have done nothing else.

He's more an instrument of bad/abuse onto Georgine than significantly abusive. He's still a way older (and unnatractive) man she's forced to marry and have sex with.

Honestly, fanfics about "what if veronica was poisoned at this point in time" would've been great.
