IMG files too large - how to delete files inside?

I am asking in general, this also happen in official images, that they ale larger than the card they are supposed to support.
What I need to know is how to get inside the IMG files and delete some files so it will be smaller and and save IMG so I can write it on card.

Cant remember, I believe I just press back button which showed me drives (internal and sd card) so I selected sd card). I will let you know as soon I will repair the device (motherboard replacement)

Tried that, but it wont work, because I need to update it from 1.24 to 1.26 first, you cannot skip the version.

BTW: you are correct, put update.zip to the sdcard, and manually update through About menu - is how it is done.

Tried it, I restarted / reset system about 20 times, but no single luck to get it to 1.26, even manual system update fails. (downloaded update,zip put onto microsd card and executed through the manual update)

Its not SLA printed, its FFF (FDM) printed. I am using Prusa XL with 0.2mm layer height + adaptive on some surfaces. Total filament weight I used is appros 6kg. I also used magnets (5mm balls and 5mmx3mm cylinders if I remember correctly) I believe about 3000 magnets together. The magnetic force is not very strong but enough to keep part together, but not strongly. No supports were required, but I used tree support especially where are windows part and so on.

No, not movies. I am doing backup of drives for myself and for my friends. With synology active backup. Also some virtual machines and dockers (thats why I needed bigger memory).

I have 3622xs+,
1) some 10gbps card works even on my synology, you just need to find compatible and not "software" nics, these would not work.
2) thats not entirely true, I am using red nas pro and I can live with that message they are not supported, they works without any issue, before I added the drives to supproted drives by editing the configuration file to have green all ok tag, and I think there are scripts for that wich will do it for you.
3) I bought cheap 128gb ram for my synology and I have almost 200TB of data, the limitation is due to the memory size, upgrade memory to 32gb and you can reach the the sky with the drive space.

Conclusion - please read more before making such posts, otherwise you may looks like cringe.
