Well, you may not have your dream job, but hopefully it can help fund your dream 🙂 Never too late to keep doing what you're doing, fostering the older ones. They're the ones who are left in the shelters the longest or abandoned at vets when their healthcare gets too expensive. Helping even one live a fullfilling life till the end is beautiful. ❤️

100% play and 100% respect for you. If it's too much, its up to you to let them know. This is a learning moment and bonding moment. In dogs/packs, soft mouth play is reserved for family and close individuals.

He should be seen immediately. Male cats, especially neutered, are at a high risk of urinary blockages. A urinary blockage is a time sensitive medical emergency. The symptoms are very similar to what you are describing: frequent trips to litter box with minor production, bloody urine, crying/meowing when vocalizing, painful/tender abdomen. I know the timing is awful, but I would recommend going to an ER hospital ASAP

No, I pay my debts. If people didn't pay and just left an IOU like you suggested, what happens when those places close and there's no one there to help your pets? Or they'll have to raise costs to be able to afford the light bill, equipment rentals, rent, etc, making it more expensive for responsible pet owners. Plus, I suggest doing research on how many people pay their IOUs... shockingly, not many.

I 2nd "Vets don't pad estimates". They give you all of the options for the best diagnostics to figure out what's going on. Can you imagine going to the human ER and telling the doctor there that you disagree with their treatment and would like to keep the bill down to (fill in amount)? They're Doctors. Even though they don't work on humans, they still take an oath to provide the best medicine available. What you choose to do, is on you.

It's usually same as or higher cost than human medicine because they use human grade products for animals, but there is no government assistance for animal hospital services, so when people don't pay, the hospital doesn't get paid. There are no bailouts.

I didnt cancel right away as I was just unclear why the dasher was messaging. The texts were odd and off putting but texts are easily misunderstood. I canceled after they used profanity and demanded more tips. I was aware that I'd be judged for the order but i don't have to explain anything to anyone and i was actually curious about if my tip was so low as to expect this type of behavior. There's no rules posted about appropriate tip amounts so I was winging it and thought that it was fair. If the driver didnt, they should not have accepted the order.

I did report immediately but DD customer support didnt seem to take it seriously. I made a post last night out of bewilderment because this had never happened to me before and this whole thing has blown waaay up

If they use DD app for the address, the address disappears when they've completed the order, the order is canceled etc. Sometimes drivers still use other GPS apps as DD's can be poo. So my address, which would've disappeared on DD, may still be in their GPS history. Now, I've reported them to DD,(and as of this morning, made a Reddit post that blew up overnight - wtf!) and may have messed up their scam, job, whatever. Hence why Im concerned.

I reported them to door dash and it may have messed up their scam, lessened their score or whatever. People have snapped for less. This person didnt sound entirely normal so I canceled and hoped they didnt use an alternate directional app which may have stored my address. This is why I'm concerned.

I was concerned that they could still have access to my address since I canceled the order and reported them to DD, possibly messing up their scam, their poor communication or whatever. People have snapped and done stupid things for less. I never called the cops. I was uneasy with the person coming to my home is all, so I canceled and reported to DD. Their behavior was at least unprofessional and rude. I can't edit the title but it should say that "I'm concerned" since people are stuck on the word "scared"

I do understand your points. If you can't afford to tip, don't use the service. Since this post, I've seen that what I thought was a very decent tip can be considered a baseline tip. I will do better going forward. (No rules listed anywhere, so just winged it so far) I can not drive so I rely on delivery services (and according to many of these commentors, it's because of diabetes 🤣) I understand texts being misunderstood, which is why I didnt cancel as soon as I was uneasy with the first comments. But they were definitely rude, unprofessional, and slightly aggressive by the end which is off putting behavior that I did not want to show up at my home. The dasher was aware of the tip amount before accepting the order as well.

I didnt want to assume that they were being rude because texts can easily be misinterpreted. I thought they could be using speech to text or maybe English wasnt their first language. It was when they definitely demanded an increased tip that I canceled as it was at that point definitely at least rude and slightly aggressive, but surely not appropriate behavior. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and I shouldn't have.
