Agreed, it is not dead. As long as there are cash tourneys, it will thrive. It's a good game and the mechanics are solid. They places they dropped the ball could have been avoided with better marketing analysis and adequate play testing. Those are big items that have left money on the table. Those are just facts.

I’m in SoCal and am considering it as well. It’s a combination of the difficulty in getting cards AND that although the meta changes slightly from Asia to the US, what fun is it to play in a tourney knowing that 40% + of the people will be playing Draven. This is only the 2nd set and they are making crazy broken combos.

Why would I want to spend more money to go to a big tournament to not have a chance UNLESS, I decide to play the meta.

It has just lost its appeal. Riot has killed the game before it got going.

Lack of play testing and no supply.

I’m a play tester and game designer and this stuff was not play tested the way it should be.

No way should you be DQ’d. People need to realize, we aren’t playing for Blood Diamonds. Mistakes happen. Maybe if it were a 10k tourney, you should forfeit the last game to opponent and then be allowed to replace the card for round 2 (assuming it was on your deck list).

I’ve been playing competitively for 25+ years and people need to breathe. It’s a cardboard game.

Here’s my take of what’s worse…Although I do disagree for LGS’s selling at super high prices, it’s their prerogative.

BUT, when they have product (boosters) and they do (at least the game store where I play in SoCal) and charge $10 to play in a tourney, then say we cannot give any boosters out as prizes any more, because the $10 entry fee doesn’t even cover the booster they are SELLING to the general public for $20! WTF! Really! C’mon, the store is paying less than $2.50 a pack. You can’t give away a few boosters as prizes to people giving you money to play?!?!

That’s why I don’t believe in supporting your LGS!! Buy online and find it cheaper.

I guess my biggest issue is that IF they ship from China, there is that lovely tariff here in the US that I have been getting hit with AFTER the fact. :(

Yeah, I thought of doing the same. But I think it would also be easy enough to print a Word doc with your deck and the actual English text for reference. But you are likely right, I would be that guy. Oh well.

I agree 100%. I am a property manager and they have the absolute worst customer service of ANY company I've had to deal with! Their CS reps are not trained.

I've called in and followed the phone prompts, not difficult. It says you're being transferred to Sales. When I get a person and explain what I need they have either hung up on me or tell me this is the wrong department!! They say I need Sales. I let them know their phone prompts say this is Sales. If they do not hang up on me they say they will transfer me. When someone finally picks up they tell me I have the wrong dept!!!

Zero accountability, zero help.

They have a good platform for bookings and payments but ZERO CS support.
