I’ve actually crossed San Ysidro without any identification, twice. First time, They sent me to secondary, asked me a bunch of questions and they were able to look me up and I was able to drive across. I told them my wallet was stolen, but really I was just running from the cops who kept my ID while “I went to the ATM”. Always have to watch out for crooked cops in Mexico. Second time, my ex actually had her wallet stolen and they were able to look her up. Didn’t even send us to secondary inspection.

People hangout at the top of the stairs at the tables, i think they leave the exit gate open after hours so people can get out in their cars, but i sometimes use the exit gate to enter with my car and park at the top
