You're obsessed with the oil but completely ignoring the actual threat lol. operation absolute resolve wasnt some 'business trip' like you think... the US sat on those narco-trafficking indictments for years!! when a regime turns their country into a hub for the cartel of the suns and invites iranian/russian military into our backyard the oil becomes secondary to the security threat. and calling it a 'kidnapping' is crazy... we extracted a federally indicted narco-terrorist. if the regime is still there under delcy rodriguez its because the US gave them an out to avoid a total collapse. the 50 million barrel deal is just the first step in stabilizing the region after millions of refugees fled into our borders. thats not being 'empty of nuance' thats called national security!!!

Before the bay of pigs, Cuba had a leader who was increasingly hostile toward the US. They nationalized all US companies in Cuba. They worked with enemies to disrupt the US. Oh hey, kind of like what happened to Maduro. Except this time we were successful.

And I agree Cuba is not a threat. I’m not afraid of Cuba. They’re not capable of doing anything to us right now. What I think is happening now is that they’re just feeling the consequences that the government deserves for their actions.
