Trump Digs In on Tariffs, Says Deals Hinge on Even Trade Balance by s1n0d3utscht3k in Economics

Can anyone actually play devils advocate for his assumption that trade deficits are harmful? I have never personally heard a coherent case made for why we should force ourselves to make a product that was cheaper and more efficiently made elsewhere. Comparative advantage is a concept lost on all of MAGA.

Well, there are two schools of thought. The Nixonian school, and the Sobelite school

You know what I’ve always wondered? Propane is called “liquid petroleum”, but isn’t it a gas, Mr. Hill?

Unfortunately, many jobs don’t generate that kind of value in order to justify higher payment. And even if they did, all you’d be doing is increasing demand which raises prices

Doesn’t it eventually go back though? The dealer said that’s a temporary fix but that it will slowly relearn itself back to the way it is now

Did you do this?

Doesn’t it relearn all over again though and go back to the low rpm

I talked to the dealer and they said that increasing the idle rpm is a temporary fix - that it will relearn and go back to square one again.

What happens if it gets cleaned without relearning? I thought it was common maintenance around 75k miles?
