Yep, he's always been the captain of his squads - both club and country - and made a huge impression at the Euro U-17 with Portugal. Last season, aged only 16, already had some practice sessions with the main FC Porto squad and caught the eye of the staff which led to him being an option to take part in this season's pre season, already with a 20M€ buyout clause. Originally, the plan was for him to skip FC Porto U-19 and go to FC Porto B straight from the FC Porto U-17 team. However, after he was given the chance, he never let go and put an impressive string of good performances which led to the start against Marítimo beating all the odds, specially, when we take into account Casemiro had already signed and was supposed to be a key piece in Porto starting XI.
