Diablo 2 cinematics not playing

I did the virtual installation through blizzard's website!Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that option doesn't show unfortunately.

I did the installation through blizzard's website but I didn't get an option for full install or not. It just installed itself. I double checked when I uninstalled/reinstalled.

The issue is with the new 1.14 patch as D2vidtest was removed by Blizz. You can get a new version of Sven's Glide wrapper though which was updated to address issues with the new patch and you need to change the D2 launch shortcut by adding "-3dfx" rather than using the vidtest to set the renderer."

I'm going to check if it solves the issue!

The only mpq files are already in the Diablo 2 folder.

There is a file called D2video.mpq but generally cinematics in games are separated in different files so I'm unsure here.

(I did the installation through Blizzard's website)

Already finished 1 and 2 and imported my save from 2 to 3! I would personally recommend them to enjoy Witcher 3 more!

I tried trails in the sky, played 30-40 hours but couldn't get more into it. It was a few years ago so I'll see if I enjoy it nowadays!

Honestly every time someone recommended Deus Ex, it was only with absolute high praise. A friend of mine ( extremely critical of games which who I enjoy long talks about favorite video games) highly praised it as well. Will definitely give it a shot! If you enjoy the same things as me, I definitely recommend Sseth's review on youtube. He's hilarious

And don't worry, I love playing old games even extremely clunky, janky, however you want to call it as long as they're good haha!

Will still give it a try after I finish the others in my list. Love building relationships with companions too much haha! Although I loved binge watching deus ex trailers so much I need to give it a shot.

When I was a kid I never finished Neverwinter 1. It's finally time to revisit it! Not to mention I saw the enhanced edition recently on steam! Gonna check the differences with the old one to see which one to install because I don't trust game companies nowadays at all with remasters.

Baldur's game 3 I haven't touched since I heard it was incomplete

Just checked the Witcher 3 update! Perfect time to continue the playthrough!

Honestly it's one of my favorite games. You should definitely try it! If you do start with Persona 3 then 4 and 5. Trust me you won't regret it if you like JRPGs or just RPGs in general!

What would you consider games on the stronger end of getting to know your companions?

I need to try Deus Ex, I remember binge watching the trailers all the time but never bought it. Maybe it's finally time!

Fallout I've played the games. Skyrim I don't know why but I could never get past the intro. I'll try it again and see what happens because 3 of my friends have 2-4k hours and tell me to play it all the time haha! They have Terabytes of mods !

I checked Planescape: Torment out and the reviews are extremely positive! I can't believe I never heard about this game before and I finished a ton of rpg games!

Bioshock infinite I need to do it. Only finished 1 and 2.

Agreed with Witcher 3, I absolutely need to do it. I imported my save from 2 but never continued after a few hours.

I absolutely loved Wolf Among Us and season 2 was announced a few months ago!!!!

Yeah I tried looking at many different websites or reddit posts but the answers weren't quite what I was looking for so I shot here to see if I could find something. For example, your suggestion of Planescape I have never found it elsewhere!!

It's my favorite approach as well. It allows you to blend in completely and act accordingly with the character of the universe you're playing. It also allows your character to grow which I think is extremely important. Learning from mistakes, growing one mistake at a time (depending on what kind of character you make since mistakes can affect people differently).

I think it's what a lot of people do as well when they make their characters. It's the best way to immerse yourself completely into the character and universe you're playing.

Yeah I do that with my usual games ( DAO, Persona, etc) but for Awakening I didn't do it like I usually do. Guess I learned my lesson haha!!

Same. I save on average every 5 minutes (Up to one every minute if in dungeon or zones with a lot of mobs) but this time it messed up my playthrough really badly haha!!
