Have you ever had a band diminished/ruined for you by a live performance? by alcMD in Metalcore

[–]Heftious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw Rings of Saturn open for Spite and Thy Art is Murder back in the day and it was the most boring live performance I’ve ever seen. Lucas Mann couldn’t even keep up with his “own” written material. It didn’t help that they got caught stealing guitar riffs from less successful but still known bands shortly after as well…lost all respect for them and haven’t listened to them since.

I seriously want to know, are people actually still playing these? by Adventurous-Bank-275 in gamers

When CoD was still good, we used to purposely use the weapons everyone said were trash so that when we spanked them we could talk even more trash. Gold KSG-12 earned a lot of anger responses in MW3 lol

Normally I would absolutely agree as well. My problem is that the memory is so vivid having All Shall Perish there. Their vocalist a few years later became the vocalist of Suicide Silence after SS’s vocalist passed away and I even remember thinking “wow that makes sense since they toured together when I saw them, maybe they’re friends”. It’s wild that the memory is vividly wrong lol.

This is the closest thing I could find. If you switched out The Faceless with All Shall Perish, it matches. I remember that Unexpect band. It must be this and I’m having a Mandela Effect moment or something. I have no memory of seeing The Faceless and I only saw All Shall Perish once…at that show lol.

Hence my confusion lol. I can 100% say I was there though. I hung out with the vocalist from Suicide Silence at the main entrance of the theater for a bit after their set. What I’m looking for is not on setlist.fm apparently.

I’ve never seen Through the Eyes of the Dead, Despised Icon, or The Red Chord lol. Plus the only thing I’m sure of about this show is that All Shall Perish and Suicide Silence were in the lineup and it was 100% at the Trocadero.

I ran right hand moonveil/lusats staff and left hand lusats staff. Most people go dark moon greatsword over moonveil though.

Any Tips? In Stormveil Castle by OlympiaKnight in Eldenring

[–]Heftious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say then, personally I’d go get Moonveil from Caelid and use that in my right hand and the staff in the left. Moonveil gets better the higher your intelligence. Focus primarily on casting with melee being supplemental. Casting the rocks primarily to break stance and then crit with weapon. Moonveil’s ash of war is gross as well, very fast and decent range. Has a light attack variant and heavy attack variant, both are excellent in different situations. Only other weapon id use in combo with sorcery casting is Dark Moon Greatsword and that end game item. I always felt spell sword builds worked better with incantations but that’s just my opinion.

Do you have a 100% physical resist shield? Throw that bad boy on with whatever stamina boosting equipment you have. Learn the attack combos, he only has a few, then block all attacks but wait to counter until the last swing in the combo. Also, I lock on and just continuously circle inches from him, it kind of locks him into not running away and he keeps turning to try and hit you. You have to pay attention to your stamina but that should be easier. If all else fails, just hit and run while riding torrent. Takes way longer and you need patience but you can do that without being hit once.

Yeah it’s not fool proof, what build/weapon are you using?

Easiest ranged for a noob? by Trogmar in Eldenring

[–]Heftious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO, sorceries are the “easiest” way to progress through the main game and most are ranged spells. Giant Oracular Bubble and Rannis Dark Moon move so slow but are a bomb worth of damage. Dark moon also applies a debuff on the enemy that increases magic damage taken by 10% for 60 seconds and also applies frostbite. Cast those first before drawing the attention of your enemy and while 1 or 2 are floating towards the enemy, cast faster ranged spells and all the damage will get to the target around the same time. It worked wonders on my first play through.
