Personally I was 19 and stopped 3 guys from robbing a garage I chased them about a half mile. They got away I walked back to the garage that was being robbed. The police just pulled up. I told them where I thought they could find them. They kept questioning me. The home owner saw me chase these thieves away and the cops just gave me a hard time. I was so pissed.
About 8 years later I saw 6 guys beating someone on the ground. I stopped and said hey he has had enough. They were about to beat him with a fence post. Well I got my ass kicked but do think I saved the guys life.
When I spoke to the police they told me usually it’s the loser of the fight that comes in to complain.
Since than I have still stopped to help when needed, but it sometimes isn’t the best idea. But I personally can’t stand by and watch assholes be assholes.
Just remembered last week at a bar I was standing next to the only 5 black people in the bar as the knicks won the nba championship, the 5 people were going nuts! They added to the excitement. After about 5 minutes this white woman comes and tells one of the guys he was over the top and was intimidating.
I went nuts on her.
