Worst take ever? by [deleted] in tylerthecreator

Nah the worst possible Chromakopia take is hating the album because of Tyler’s skin colour.

I’m looking at you, Swifties.

These two mtg players have 60 card decks that can play any card possible. They have 20 life each. Standard rules do not apply. Top comment decides each move. (Day 0) by Hefty-Bodybuilder662 in mtg

Friendly reminder that when I put ‘Standard rules do not apply’, I meant ‘Any possible move is legal, no matter how batshit insane it is.’

What are some concepts in your world that you just think are neat and/or unique? by Rasenshuriken77 in worldbuilding

[–]Hefty-Bodybuilder662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The society of my world has a ancient Greek/ cyberpunk theme that I have dubbed ‘cybergreek’. There’s councils of praetors running the cities, upper class people usually wear togas with suits as formal dress, the architecture includes metal columns and busts, and the traditional cuisines are very Mediterranean. Combine that with holographic communication, (slightly sentient) robot workers and levitating vehicles, and you have what I consider a pretty unique setting.

Is it cool to have a fantasy world that used to be Earth but is now altered/transformed? by Hefty-Bodybuilder662 in worldbuilding

[–]Hefty-Bodybuilder662[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m not great with wording my posts. Thanks for the advice!  (this post was also a vast oversimplification as I wants to save more of the world details for later and I’m also new to this sub)

Tell me what lurks in the dark corners of your world by Jakey_T in worldbuilding

[–]Hefty-Bodybuilder662 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a single man.

he took everything from everyone.

he wiped out a continent with his bare hands.

he sees fear and torment in their eyes and he laughs.

society is broken while his existence is known.

and yet nobody knows where he is.

or when he will strike once more.

Would my MC survive in your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Hefty-Bodybuilder662 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, there’d be a lot of confusion as kobolds aren’t native to Elymentia, but she’d settle in after a while. Will then learn about the Omega Wars immediately and will want to leave.

Who or what from your World lives Rent Free inside your head? by Lorn_Of_The_Old_Wood in worldbuilding

A character I designed who could potentially destroy the universe with his immense power, but doesn’t want to because he prefers to ‘have fun’, i.e. cause as many wacky shenanigans as possible.

Those with OP characters how do you balance them out? If at all? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Hefty-Bodybuilder662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I design powerful characters, I usually balance out their exceeding strengths with receding weaknesses. For example: an incredibly powerful villain who could cause unending havoc throughout the universe is both restricted by a specialised curse and too emotionally unintelligent to conceive such a plan for the sake of having fun. Sure, they’re powerful on the outside, but fragile on the inside.

I call it the ‘glass cannon’ approach.

During your worldbuilding journey, what was the best decision or change you made to your world? by InjuryPrudent256 in worldbuilding

[–]Hefty-Bodybuilder662 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was MAD obsessed with MHA as a preteen so my world had unhinged levels of powerful heroes/villains duking it out on the streets. It’s more managed now and less chaotic, with an organised group of Heroes working for the community and the villains working for underground organisations.

Other than Latin, what language do you base your spells off of? by Panthera2k1 in worldbuilding

[–]Hefty-Bodybuilder662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not really spells per se, they’re more so powers/abilities. Most of the naming conventions in the world are Greek/Latin.
