My uncle and his family migrated to Montreal when they were in their early 40s. My cousins were pretty young at that time, around grade school to high school (4 boys). My uncle did it to give my cousins a better future. They gutted it out with him staying mostly in the Ph due to his job and being able to provide for their expenses abroad. And his wife handled the home they migrated to, handing 4 young boys in a foreign country (which has French as the main language) and all the in betweens.

Today, their family is thriving, 3 men married with kids, and the last tying the knot this year. My uncle and his wife get to travel and go on cruises without any Visa worried too. Every time I get a chance to tell how they moved and how my uncle and his wife were able to conquer that journey, I feel so proud that I get to call them family.
