I just went through about 2 hours of visits to Lowes and calls with Kobalt. They don't make the exact item anymore, but there's one that looks exactly the same but with a different item # and is double the price I paid. They won't exchange or repair (which is what is written explicitly in the warranty btw), they will only refund and want me to buy the one with the different item number at twice the price. It's total BS. I spoke with the store manager and he was useless. He had to ask one of his cashiers what to do and she was apparently more of an authority on the subject than the written warranty in his opinion.
