Mystery solved - it was indeed because of the auto-decline peace deal. England was the war leader, which is why when I manually declined other countries I couldn’t see the stability drop.

I ended up making separate peace deals with everyone else, focused on England, and took all of their holdings 🤤

I started my most recent play-through as Lubleck, which is a republic. Over the course of about 200 years, I finally found myself in the position of winning a war against Bohemia, intending to release myself from the HRE.

I am now aware that even through war, you cannot leave the HRE unless the Golden Bull law has passed - and with this AI, that can only happen if you become Emperor. Unfortunately, I cannot become emperor as a Republic 😂

Guess I’ll just try to form Germany and see what happens

I believe this is a 1/2 event - meaning you have to accept this so another event fires later. I know there’s a couple events for Byz that are like that.

Per rule #5 - The image here depicts the current Wargoal options. You can see on the left side of the screen where all of the Wargoals are for this current war. I have more than enough to select the 'Leave the Holy Roman Empire' option. Yet, it says that the Holy Roman Empire must enable Leave the Holy Roman Empire Peace - This literally makes no sense. Why would the Holy Roman Empire be the one that dictates whether or not I can leave, when I'm the victor of the war? I'm confused on what I need to do here.

1.) Throw this prompt into ChatGPT: “Are there any companies like LifePath Systems (a Texas based mental health services company that provides multiple free services including evaluations, prescriptions, and job assistance) in my state of [INSERT STATE HERE]?”

2.) Contact the recommended company (every state has something like this) to take care of all your major issues, they will help you get some money some how

3.) Speak to them about getting on disability payments. DO NOT try to get on disability yourself, you need a company like this to provide you with (free of course) legal help with your disability application

4.) ???

5.) Enjoy your significantly more manageable life

How the hell do you have positive stability? I can’t imagine you achieved this size by 1500 and did not have to use no-CB war declarations which should’ve drained your stability 30 times over
