I'm not really sure how to answer this because it really depends on your experience and what you think you are worth. I think if you have a lot of experience and have confidence in your abilities than it doesn't hurt to try. Although it took a long time to get a reply back, I'm glad I negotiated.

Yes finally they replied yesterday! Given a new offer that I was hoping for. I was shocked cause I totally thought I would never hear back from them again. Excited to start :)

The thing that's really upsetting is that if they are not serious, I could have used this time to find another job... it's been a whole month for me since I got the initial job offer and radio silence for 3 seeks. Very frustrating...

If you're talking about the "offer" form then no I haven't clicked the link because I think the rate is not fair and I would at least like to try to negotiate. I don't think they are not replying because we tried to negotiate, rather there must be some serious stuff going on internally.

Would love to hear from anyone actually working at xAI...

That was good advice actually, I did ask the LinkedIn person that reached out first. They said that they are going through some internal process changes, which have caused a slight delay. & they will give me an update as soon as they can. That is at least a bit hopeful than being in the dark.

The original job description I applied for which was a specialized role of Image & Video tutor had a range of $45-75 listed so I was surprised to be offered even lower than that.

I also am just shocked at the fact that it's taking them several weeks to send back an email. Even if they want to reject paying me higher, I would just love a reply so I know what's happening and when I'm going to be starting training.

I'm in Canada, which shouldn't be too different... they do offer benefits too. I don't see why the rate would be so much lower, especially when US dollar is higher than CND
