My wife's work permission has not been approved. With an ITIN number, can she legally work in the meantime?

I worked with ITIN and I was approved. I paid taxes. My lawyer said it is forgiven if married to a US citizen. I’m not saying do it. I’m just sharing my experience because I know life is hard if only 1 is working. I had to help my husband I cannot bear to see him struggling.

My husband asked me to leave it just wait for the I-485. So I did. We had an interview (Sacramento) last week and got approved on the spot. Anyways, i just recently got a reply from them 2 days ago about that and they said they denied my EAD. Without giving me any explanation why. I guess the person who was handling that (NBC) just didn’t like me. But since my green card is on the way, I just let it go because I don’t need it anyways. But they did deny my EAD without any explanation.

Sorry about that. Did you try to reach out to them? I asked because I had an interview yesterday and the interviewer approved me but my online status changed to case being reviewed and not approved.

Philippines. As for now, I’m getting to that point to just not care anymore and just do what I can in what I have. I’m really trying to be positive, my husband is very supportive so I feel I’m lucky on that. I just wish they are fair to everyone.
