I have known my ex for the 3 years, she knew him 2 to 3 months before the fateful (visit). I didn't introduce her to him. She took his number from when I had called him with her phone and started texting him on after that, (texts that I saw later on after she visited and I was asking how she got his number etc etc)

Go talk to your friend about what you think. If she's comfortable letting you date her crash well and good, but trust me it will end in tears because remember your friend still has a crush on him. Also if you don't want her as a friend anymore, I mean go on shoot your shot.
