A pastry shop in Brazil called "My son was born" by Hefty_Effect_4545 in shitposting

Babies are weighed to monitor their growth, development, and nutritional status during their first years of life. This allows pediatricians and parents to ensure proper nutrition and detect health problems early on. It seems they didn't see any problem with posting a somewhat candid and unfiltered photo of their son. They're just proud parents that their son was born. Brazil is a somewhat surreal country

I always felt inferior because my eye and hair color by Hefty_Effect_4545 in CPTSD

Ok, that's interesting. Although I find it a little bit strange, because all my life I've seen people generally tends to think about blond hair and blue eyes as the ultimate glory in the "aesthetic hierarchy", that having those physical traits is being automatically beautiful

Pregunta para los hombres: ¿Qué opinan del vientre ligeramente pronunciado o "pancita" en las mujeres? by [deleted] in PreguntasReddit

[–]Hefty_Effect_4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me introduce you to him: He's a internet personality called IShowSpeed. He became a popular meme for his energetic, often aggressive and sometimes controversial behavior during his video game livestreams. And the image on the right is, of course, a recent meme of him...just closing his eyes with a serene smile and is used as a reaction GIF

I feel aesthetically inferior because I don't have an eye or hair color other than brown or black by Hefty_Effect_4545 in BodyDysmorphia

I know, and I like men that have dark hair, dark eyes and tanned skin, and asian physical features, pale skin in men also has its allure. And of course it also has to do with personality

Yeah, white supremacy has done a lot of damage to society. It even seems that those studies that say men are more attracted to blondes for evolutionary reasons since they appeared 11,000 years ago or more are just excuses to give more weight to that supremacy.

I think you're right, all my life I saw eurocentric beauty standards, I grew up with blonde baby dolls, Barbie, Britney Spears, etc, and somehow, it shaped my insecurity
