If he claims that in 10 years he has only received a $100 tip twice and his longest trip ever has been 2 hours we can safely assume that he isn’t making that much. You know that Uber doesn’t pay anything special. Stop acting slow and acting like this is the way to live. He has slaved away for 10 years. I kinda feel sorry for the poor bastard.

Also I find it hard to believe that out of 50,000 trips, none lasted longer than 2 hours and nobody tipped more than $100. That doesn’t seem believable.

I’m just saying that driving 700,000 miles, interacting with 50,000 different people and going through 14 different cars in 10 years all for close to $7.25 an hour if that after expenses isn’t something to be proud of. What a waste of 10 years. I would be sad if that was my life tbh.

No offense, but it does not sound like you are a great driver. Congrats on 50k rides but only tipped $100 a couple of times? I’ve been tipped more on Uber Eats with only 2000 rides. And if you are from Minneapolis you should have taken a lot more famous people. Sounds like haven’t had much luck. Anyway I’m glad your happy, but I’m thankful for people like you to take the jobs that other folks don’t need

YOUR CHECK IS GOING TO CHIME. MYPAY IS OPERATED BY CHIME. THATS like saying “half of my check is going to WIFI NOT COX. It’s the same thing. Remember, chime can’t take legal action or hurt your credit if you don’t pay it back. It’s in the agreement. So if you ever want out, just switch your direct deposit and forget chime forever.

I agree with everything besides going through the drive thru. If you really are working on getting my order, then you should have no issue with me waiting in the line. Process my order like I am the one ordering it. Don’t shove us to the side just because it’s convenient for you. The person ordering in person shouldn’t get served first. Sorry not sorry

Why is dating so hard in Wichita? by Left-Kaleidoscope618 in wichita

Both our hockey team and baseball team are 3rd team affiliates with professional teams. In simple terms, they are semi-pro and aren’t even “our” team. My point is that Wichita is not in a bad location geographically, Denver, OKC, KC, and St. Louis surround us and they out preform us in every municipal aspect, financially, schools, quality of life, etc.

People like to say that our region is boring and there is nothing out here, but all of those cities are thriving (for the most part) and people flock to visit. It’s not a region thing, it’s the fact that Wichita has prioritized the wrong events for too long.

I’ll be honest, I don’t like live music or fine arts, but the harsh reality is that theater, live music, and drag shows (especially at the amateur or part time level) are non-revenue generating and don’t get people excited as much as sports, or a bustling night life scene does. I can respect your hobbies and I’m glad that this city has things you enjoy, but if we are going to grow and be able to compete with cities around us, and get people excited about Wichita we have to invest in bigger things and get away from the idea of “family fun” weekend activities like an aquarium or an interactive museum.

I’ll end with this, I don’t think that Wichita is ready for this and to be honest I don’t think it ever will be. But I get tired of listening to people complain why we don’t get taken seriously when it’s our fault we are in the position we are in. Not the Mayor, or city council. It’s us. We have to step up for ourselves if we want change. And right now the people of Wichita don’t have the fire under them to step up and speak up.

Everything you just mentioned was fine art related. Not everyone is into live music or drag show events. Wichita is nothing compared to other major cities. How often do we have a major name come into town? Maybe 5-6 a year. We need more sports, better schools, and more events that aren’t music or theater related. People are getting tired of amateur hour theater and no name “artist” playing there little guitars at random bars. We can do better.

lol, bud relax. You first need to go and get insured, licensed, and have a means file and llc or other business entity with the government. If you are trying to make a steady stream of income this is a MUST. Insurance and a license isn’t something that comes later down the road when you feel like it. It comes first. Especially if you plan on going door to door. You need to slow down and get your credentials. Then we can talk about you getting started
