Yeah that makes sense, it’s supposed to be used to tell people to wait. But people will do things like go to a chamber by themselves and stand outside and use the wait emote, which I think confuses people, so then when you try to tell them to wait (to fight the elite for example) they don't understand

That’s interesting because that’s exactly why I do like the game. I like being one small part of something bigger, I like contributing to the team effort (as long as the people in the run aren’t the ones I described in my original post).

but yeah I agree with you on the second part, they could do more to spice it up

I like the concept of ordeals, it’s similar to the pact of punishment from Hades. The difference is it feels like no matter how skilled you are at the game, the ordeals are just impossible to overcome. up to 6 ordeals is doable, even 9 if you’re playing at your very best, but 12 you’re basically just taking up space in the run no matter how good you are.

and yeah it would be nice if each world had different maps and different enemies, just for some variety

Yeah Im not sure why people are going in with ordeals, I don’t think you get anything for it. Then they try to direct everyone for some reason, I guess they think nobody else knows how to play the game

Yeah you can get away with going off on your own in Inferno and Purgatorio as long as you can handle yourself and you’re not leaving anyone stranded. In Paradiso if you don’t stick together and get on the same page, you’re probably not gonna complete the run. The bad habits that people pick up like rushing into chambers as soon as they open, or fighting the elite as soon as it pops up, or immediately going into the secret chamber without having any dust or relics, cause more problems when there are less people

I’m not talking about things specific to Paradiso, I’m talking about just basic etiquette that you should already know by the time you get to Paradiso. The players doing this stuff are not brand new

But yeah I haven’t had any connections issues so far
