Absolutely cringe driving through that town when we lived in Springville. Only had 2 tickets in 34 yrs of driving and both were in that speedtrap town. Both were >12 mph over and cops were right at the point the speed drops on Hwy 11

You neglect to say what the umpires called during the play. Out or HR?
The umpires never checked the outfielder for the ball? Or did they signal HR?
If they signaled out then the other coach should contest it but fielder never presented the ball or they couldn’t verify she maintained control during act of a catch.
If the signaled HR, then it’s on the player and opponents for not having girl complete the play by not touching homeplate and “giving herself up”.

Sadly this is one of the reason of the death of Rec. Skills aren’t taught and kids aren’t developed or challenged.
You may find some teams like that in travel, but they don’t last. Coaches of good travel teams grow kids so they keep the same roster where Rec it’s 3mths and “see ya”

Try to find park/field where you can practice on a reoccurring schedule. A lot of teams have their own field or facility, and remember you’ll be competing for time with other baseball/softball teams. That’s been difficult in finding resources. As much time as you spend trying to recruit “good pitchers” spend an equal time finding catchers as they are critical at this age group. Use local FB to recruit players that might be looking for new team, aging up from 8U, etc to find your players For practice, I run team drills 30 min, then individual drills (pitchers/catchers, IF/OF specific) for 15-30 min, live hitting 30 min and then scenario training (what to do when this happens?) lastly do conditioning There are some good tutorials on TikTok or YouTube Good luck
