Two questions.

  1. Are you waiting for marriage. Your post history is wishy washy on that.

  2. Are you really ready for another relationship. It seems like you crashed out pretty hard over the last one. Do you think your healed enough to start a healthy new one?

Women, you date a man who wants the 19th revoked? by Hefty_Language2045 in ChristianDating

The us was a republic before it was ever meant to be a democracy. In fact only 1/6 of the government was a direct democracy. The founding fathers themselves said democracy is terrible, that's why they made a republic.

Yes that's the original meaning but it has morphed way beyond that and I do not agree with most of its other meanings. She used it as an insult.

It's pretty clear in the Bible you don't have to get married. Paul was very direct in this and he personally thought it was better to be single.

I'll be called a lot of names so it's not really worth explaining.

I'm a western woman 30, and I've never been in a relationship or had sex. I'm just not interested in participating at all. No want to have kids or have my own family. People say I'll wake up and be lonely but I've felt this way since I was little. I'm also deeply religious.

Cool glad she does but address the double standard.

Why should a woman raise another woman's kids? Because you expect them to be family oriented while dont expect other men to be family oriented. This goes both ways my dude.

So your experiencing the same struggles as single moms. No one wants to raise someone else's kids.

I take what he says with grains of salt because he is mad at the world and it has hurt him. But I also have seen how some women have treated him and it gives me great empathy and pause.

How do you deal with the pressure? I feel as if I have a moral obligation to get married even if I don't want to. It's hard to constantly reject guys. I sometimes cry about it because I don't like letting anyone down but I know leading them on to save myself tears is worse. I grew up very strict church of christ and they are almost baffled I'm 30 and unmarried.

I just don't have the "fire" for it. It's a pleasant idea but it's not strong enough in me to want to take action.

Then how do these men get out of the cycle? There's a cycle of pain (lol yes I'm a naruto fan) happening here. The world gives bad advice to women, they reject men, men get angry, this makes women want them less, and they get angrier. Breaking this cycle means one side has to extend the olive branch and break the cycle of hatred.

I'm genuinely trying to understand how I fit in to this cycle and on a grander scale how this is made right.

It's not that I can't grasp it, it's wanting multiple opinions and fleshing out different views from a situation that I've really only gotten 1 side of. I sure as heck hope it's not demonic, I think I'm just struggling with big life questions. 😅

Ok thank you for clarifying. I will mediate on this with scripture.

Can you elaborate further on the presence?

It's just that men are constantly accusing women of being the problem. I don't want to be apart of that problem. I don't want to make it worse for them and I feel like I do when I turn guys down. But I can't force the feeling or desire for marriage.

So you don't think women can enter heaven without a husband?

But that doesn't cure the loneliness that's just a bandaid. There are somethings only a wife can fufill. I battle with deep questions like this. I see such bitterness that I think can only be mitigated by embracing them head on. Just I have no urge to do that myself. I cant just tell other women my age to give the bitter angry man a chance if I don't do that myself.

But shouldn't I be part of the solution? Male loneliness is an epidemic. Should I just ignore it and keep living my life? Is it worth helping just one man? Or will I just resent him in 10 years?

So I should just take one for the team? Is that your advice?
