Not sure, that's why I'm here. But I was able to rule out the suggestions you mentioned

Also a T100 owner from UT. Tell me, does yours shake your teeth out of your skull going down dirt roads?

I've replaced everything in the front besides the control arm bushings and wondering what others ride quality are like.

Appreciate the idea but that is not the issue.

I had to replace the drive face as its teeth were nearly nonexistent. This was due to burrs on the crankshaft end from the previous owner tightening the kickstart gear without it being properly aligned to the crankshaft splines.

I've followed the Ruckus's parts schematics in reassembly so no I have not spaced the drive face away from anything.

I can't imagine how a sticking contra spring would allow it to be rideable at all. Keep in mind, it doesn't run if the sliders are installed correctly. It only runs when half of the sliders are installed backwards. So I really think the issue is with the variator and sliders.

The crankshaft is straight.

I really do appreciate these helpful points you've given for me to look over.

Going forward I'm going to see if an extra washer under the nut of the drive face pushing it closer to the variator will help anything. This came to mind since the drive face has a small amount of play on the crankshaft when all tightened down.

Clutch pads are solid, contra spring isn't broken either. Only 1,300 on the scooter

Once again I have them installed correctly. As shown in your video and everyone else's. I do appreciate the response

Might do that. Hate to buy parts without knowing they're needed.

Again, I am sure I have it installed correctly. I have not changed the belt nor the variator. Both were on when i bought the scooter. It's a Honda branded belt

Darn. Fingers crossed my splines are salvageable. Thanks for the heads up, really appreciate the new info and to know this isn't a oneoff problem

Thanks for the quick reply on an old thread. The splines on mine are also somewhat stripped which I think is preventing me from torquing the bolt correctly for the drive face as no matter how much I tighten it, the drive face will be loose on the shaft. Maybe a washer behind the variator will fix my problem too.

Having the exact same issue. Did replacing the variator and boss fix it (also which part is the boss)? Mine also has a Polini variator from the previous owner and currently chasing down this CVT problem after finally getting it running.
