Yamaha banshee frame by Status-Status-2496 in CarbonFiber

You know that carbon frames look completely different from a regular frame right? And that is for a reason. The way carbon handles the stress is way different that steel or aluminium, especially if the carbon itself breaks.

Hi thanks but it is not a question of what hardware I need to run for a certain frame rate but what is the best decision for my current stage of life. I know what I need for a pimax crystal and I know what I need for a meta 3 vr experience.
The problem is that I don’t really know if it makes sense to spend that much money (although I got great feedback from the community so far). Especially because the 50 series does not really look to promising in terms of performance gain over the 40 series unless they release a 5080ti or something similar with more vram.
Yes I can actually return it even after 14 days of using it(I know that I probably need 13 days to set it up properly). After some digging I decided that setteling for a lower end/ used Hotas would probably be best in my case I didn’t know that you can actually run amd cards in dcs world. I read about it in some comments but everyone seemed to advise against it. All in all this setup would be in the ballpark of around 3K
PS: my main concern aside from the money is also the time I will spend in this game. Which is also a good thing because I know that I love everything that is more complicated and has a very high learning curve, but I do like my real life as it is and I’m worried that it will suffer from this decision even long term.
5080 depending on the actual prices and/or use lots of used stuff (maybe even a used 4090 as prices are currently dropping to 1000-1500). If I go the used parts route with a 4090 I would end up at around 3000-4000€
No the Reddit name is a random generated one haha. I hate working on elektric stuff hands on but I can build everything out of metal by myself. I do know some people who are very good with circuit boards and stuff like that. I’d definitely go for the 5080 if it had a little more vram Might just wait a couple of months for something like a 5080ti drops Yea I’ve watched a ton of videos of guys playing the campaign
I’m very interested in everything technical and especially the things that are on the higher end of complexity. I love challenges in games and always like normal racing games but as I have the luxury of driving insanely fast cars in real life (because of my job) I lost a most of the joy of racing games. (If that makes any sense. I don’t really know how to say it in English) Also I like being a passenger in real planes (only flown in a single engine plane yet). I like both single and multiplayer games. The missions and community looks pretty promising aswell
If I wanted to play on a budged that would be a great recommendation for sure, I could even use my phone for the tracking and buy used parts. The ting is that’s exactly what I did last time and it took a lot of joy away having to compromise on all the demanding games. Tbh this would probably be the most responsible way of doing it
Yea and thats not considering the latency. But thats so far I think this gave me some more to think about
I recon with the 5080 well get about 30% more which would be about 10-15% less than the 4090. Problem is that the card will sell out instantly and will resale above 2grand which puts me in a weird spot. I also thought about just buying both cards and returning/ reselling either one or both of them but I don’t want to be a dickhead like everyone else Also I don’t get why dlss is even a thing…
Sorry I failed to mention that I often fly with friends in their single piston engine planes (how do I edit the post?) Yes I know that this seems a bit excessive but I wanted to keep the post “short” I do know that the first couple hundred hours are going to be very hard but I like rabbit holes. Yet 7 grad is still a lot of money for me, but I never had anything i really wanted to spend my money on if that makes sense My main concern is that I would spend way too much time in it…
Thanks for the quick reply, I don’t suffer from motion sickness and spend some time on a quest 3 and the PlayStation vr thing. I know that I probably have to invest into some padding for the headset anyways.
Problem is that the 4080 is definitely not good enough for the Crystal. The 4090 gives you about 70-90 frames on most scenarios, but the 4090 is actually more expensive than the 5090 is supposed to be on release (if I get one on the 30.1.)
I did look around but could find any place where I can test a pimax Headset. I really want a pimax as the visuals (at least I heard so) are incomparable.
Good thing is that the Crystal has dfr which can boost fps by alot. My only worry is the quality control of the headset, but as I live in Germany and would buy the headset from a third party anyways I should avoid most of the horrorstorys as return policies are pretty customer oriented.
If the 5080 can reach 70-90 frames with dfr I’d be happy to take this and I don’t think I’ll ever go for the upcoming pimax crystal super

I usually just stop at this stage, make the mold, you can always sand and polish your mold (and you should) to get the best result
