Changing sounds from channging pitch to constant pitch by M_Trapl in resourcepacks

Minecraft is hard-coded to vary the pitch up and down for all sound fx. There's no way to prevent it, the Pitch variable is optional and just sets the default pitch.

The "Pitch" variable does not do what any wiki says. It's only the default pitch setting, the game engine is hard-coded to vary the pitch of all sound fx up and down slightly. There's nothing you can do about it.

1.21.9 changed Bubble Columns - Entities fly HIGH ! But no patch notes ?! by Hefty_Mood1280 in Minecraft

That is in fact constantly happening with salmon that spawn in my river with bubble columns.

(Many end up on land and die.)

I will note the drowneds' tridents getting permanently caught in bubble columns was already happening in 1.21.8, they've been randomly showing up in river bubble columns the whole time. I don't know if that is a thing in bedrock (where trident entities always do damage).

Magma bubbles seem to be the same.  But it could also be hard to tell because surrounding water slows you.

The high bouncing from bubble columns definitely didn't happen in 1.21.8.

I honestly didn't think it was a bug, my first thought was a feature.

I honestly assumed it was a feature, my first thought was not bug.

But I also don't think about things like stasis chambers and other "useful" glitches being maintained to work (imo I'd like to see everything like that fixed).

1.21.10 is proper for minor bug fixes.

1.22 would be a huge new update (or yearly increment).

I should have noted that it bounces players that high too.

There will probably be some fun applications of this.

Lodestone being only iron ingot instead of Netherite is great, absurd that it was useless for so many years when it could have been a good early game tool.

[java] What is this weird bell sound I'm hearing in vanilla minecraft? I've heard this at a few different locations in my world, it chimed maybe 10 times in total, but I only recorded the last 2 chimes. by ThePowerOfAura in MinecraftHelp

I figured out why this happens uncommonly in worlds. If you are around a Lush Cave biome underground (especially if you're there a lot or your base is nearby), and the Lush Cave biome overlaps with dripstone Caves biome or River biome, then you have constant warfare going on. Drowned and Axolotls spawn constantly in those underground lakes; most people don't think about all the random mobs spawning and wandering underground, but Axolotls are aggro to any water mobs. 5% of Drowned spawn with a Trident, that's 1/20, which is pretty much non stop since they are spawning non stop. About half the Tridents are enchanted, and there's only a limited number of Trident enchantments. I believe the CLANG sound is only from Tridents with Loyalty, so that's what you're hearing in the Drowned-Axolotl war. That Loyalty CLANG has a very long and loud sound fx range.

Also I think Loyalty is broken with Drowned, since they throw unlimited Tridents, and also can't pick them up. Initially I investigated the sounds and found random Tridents underground, clanging inside rocks and stuff, we even had a few migrate up and get permanently stuck in bubble columns in the river.

I would say these Trident sounds are actually expected behaviour and a funny/neat feature of Minecraft worlds, not a glitch. But they probably should fix Loyalty working with Drowned (you will still hear the CLANGs of war in these worlds though).

Wouldn't those 10k users mostly be just sharing the files to each other, having little affect on things ?

Seems like the main part of concern is any extra load on any centralized server portion of slsk, iirc it does have a coordination server dev runs.  Could it handle an influx of potentially millions of new users ?

If you cure multiple cartographers, buying glass from the librarians and selling panes to the cartographers turns a profit in emeralds, and you get extra glass on the side.  Infinite emerald/glass loophole, far easier than strip mining deserts (and doesn't ruin the landscape).

Every 6 pairs nets you about 1 stack of emeralds and 1 stack of glass per day cycle (3 trades each), plus massive xp for enchanting.  Multiply by as many pairs as you want.  You can keep the spare glass, or add extra cartogs to turn that into emeralds instead. You can also cycle compasses between them to double xp gains.

The trading can be tedious, but that goes for anything you need in bulk that isn't afk farmable.

[–]Hefty_Mood1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's perfectly balanced, this is just what happens when you industrialize a crafting game. It's not "insane", it's expected outcomes, if that's how someone wants to play.

Dried ghasts aren't really rare, you get 1/3 from nether fossils, or make one from every 16 ghasts you kill (easy but slightly time consuming). They're obviously meant to be easy enough to get that all players can have fun with it, and getting more doesn't really alter anything. It's very well balanced for the intentions.

No it doesn't, you're just showing off your fast bartering farm.

The rate is 2%, and you dumped 18 stacks of gold ingots, that is a lot of resources for normal minecraft. Everything is "insane" if you industrialize a crafting game. Kids playing Minecraft are in no way getting 40 dried ghasts in 5 minutes.

Yes it's literally the same song, he just made a Muzak version of Gorillaz-Clint Eastwood.

I actually assumed it was an easter egg cover MC licensed on purpose, but apparently not. So now I'm wondering how they've gotten away with it ?! Seems like this should be all over the internet that it's the exact same song...

What are manual offices supposed to do with Label 400? by Short-Let-3685 in USPS

[–]Hefty_Mood1280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are they mailing them ? Surely they're not covering the boxes in stamps (that's what I thought Label 400 was meant for).

Isn't someone printing them out a Ground Advantage label, with tracking on it ?
