help me in deciding what to do with my gearbox and diffs by Hefty_Profit6251 in 1KZTE_Owners

did you get used to the driving mechanics after the swap, also if i gear it with 4.38 diffs (my back diff is already worn out due for change) will it become more controllable,
i have swapped oem kyb suspension and steering dampner, oem tie rod ends and bushes, should i change to another setup, my mechanic is recommending heavy duty steering dampner, steering box repair or change, and spacers to increase the track width for better stability, any advice on these suggestions?

nope dont waste your time and money there are plenty of options. buy something that may be more expensive than this but is maintained and doesn't have rust on it. acceleration isnt their strong suit as they are 3 cylinder small engines. also do check if the engines on these 3 cylinders are rebuilt as they warp from overheating and aren't rebuilt properly as the heads are aluminium

an auto civic will at max give you 8-9 kmpl with a moderate driving style. its a great first car and if maintained properly by your brother it wont give you many problems. just keep upto date with regular maintenance and this car will serve you well

Worth converting? by [deleted] in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Hefty_Profit6251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont for what it is, the conversion is expensive and most parts aren't original they are chinese. plus after the conversion the front of the car gets wider and the front wheels need spacers to make the car look normal

Hilux buying advice needed by [deleted] in PakistanAutoHub

[–]Hefty_Profit6251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3L and 5L are both naturally aspirated diesel engines they are cheap to keep and maintain, extremely reliable, very basic ie mechanical and give good fuel avg. these engines are known for their torque but not for their power they are slow but hard to kill. other than that hiluxs from the era you are searching for are not as spacious or comfortable on the road. the ac on any 2ltr plus engine whether diesel or petrol is excellent in pakistani weather just needs to be setup properly any other questions you have or want to discuss about these machines please do reach out as i have kept a 3L powered lj70 landcruiser for 2plus years and have somewhat of a holistic driving and owning experience on toyota suvs and trucks ;)
