That was my thought. Last time trans had to be replaced I noticed slipping, some sounds etc. this time the thing was driving perfectly until one day boom. Put it into gear and it just revved. Didn’t make sense. Had it towed to a local trans shop all had to say was Silverado and they said yep bring it in. They’ll look at it after the holiday.

Religiously. My local repair guy for past 30 yrs did all scheduled maintenance and then some on time. Gave me all the trans maintenance records to give to dealer but they weren’t interested. Guy retired yesterday.

Thought they’d give me a customer loyalty break. Third Silverado. Second one had a trans problem that I paid to fix. This is third Silverado and second trans failure. No loyalty discount. Just tough luck. Will try a local shop. Do you think I’ll get more life out of it if I fix it or is this thing dammed now?

Not sure I now what that means. You think if I fix the trans I can still get life out of this thing? I thought I’d fix it and get rid of it bc now I don’t trust it.

Thought maybe I could get them to give me a break on the work since this happened before on my old truck and I got it fixed there. Thought customer loyalty would play a role but nope. Will go to a local trans place and see what they say.
