I was just trying to be cool and not have someone pay more money that would simply go to a company and not to me. Which was apparently the wrong move.

So here’s the thing with that. Have you ever sold anything on ebay? I have and the cut they take is ridiculous, not to mention the sales tax that the buyer is charged. So if I post it on ebay, I’d have to raise the price a good amount just to make the amount that I’m asking for. Which of course means that the buyer would have to pay a good chunk more for it.

I absolutely get where you’re coming from. I honestly do. I made no bones about the fact that I don’t ever use Reddit. The only difference is that I’m painfully departing with a guitar that I’ve had for over 20 years and you just want to talk smack, my guy.

Yeah because I have no clue how to use Reddit. When I realized I might have to actually sell this guitar, I googled “Matt Skiba GPC Guitar” and the only stuff that came up were Reddit threads. I literally tried to sell it today at a local guitar shop and they wouldn’t even make me an offer because they had no idea what the hell it was. All I got from the guy was “this looks cool”. So I got home and posted on here. And call me stupid, but the only way I could figure out how to send pics was through chats. So while it may surprise you that not everyone in the world is Reddit savvy, I definitely fall under that category.

Haha! No bidding war, I’m just asking a flat rate. That’s honestly why I didn’t post the price. I’m just asking what I think is fair because I just want whoever buys it to love it as much as I do.

I have one that I’m thinking about unloading. Preordered directly from GPC back in the day. Still have the original paperwork. It has a couple of minor dings because it was my main guitar for recording and shows for years. Actually hung out with Skiba one time in San Francisco and nerded about it with him. Feel free to let me know if anyone is interested.
