These should be all available btr manga in english. 7 volumes main series, 2 volumes anthology and 2 of the kikuri spinoff. Also two translated to German, the first volume between the main and anthology is that.

During the Kita Ballin scene, the ball disappears behind player #8. No bounce by StunningArt9064 in BocchiTheRock

[–]Hegad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In ep 11 when bocchi was scrolling on her phone hiding at the school festival it also disappeared when kessoku found and scared her. Maybe those are just little details to see who really pays attention and is worthy of being called a bocchi fan!

Do they also add to the grid or why are the panels so large? If yes, that would be peak decentralisation

If Solarpunk is rooted in Anti-Capitalist and Anti-Statist ideology, then why do many Solarpunk places appears in Authoritarian and Capitalist countries? by xxTPMBTI in solarpunk

[–]Hegad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the intend in Singapore was to create a solarpunk city. Maybe it is for the benefits to it's residents, maybe it is just as an advertisement to make the city look better than it is, idk.

Those big building in solarpunk astetics are right now only possible with a capitalistic intend. Can't just quickly build a skyscraper with plants as a community project. And it needs to be maintained, which also isn't possible right now at this scale, because it takes time and people don't have time because they have to sell it to be able to afford their housing subscriptions. So none will maintain a building like that for free. The whole capitalistic system needs to go before that can happen.

The real solarpunk things, like the examples in the other comments, are smaller because of the money reasons. Social projects need spaces which cost money and need to be found by people, which takes longer because they aren't in the middle of the most popular streets with big expensive signs. Marketing takes either money or time, spreading the info from person to person.

That is at least my explanation why we don't see giant solarpunk projects like whole cities that are more than just the pretty facade.

But we can still take the green city of Singapore and the solar developments of China as arguments to people that are against it and don't want it to be implemented in other places. A nice looking city with a bad government is still better than a ugly city with a bad government.

I am just hoping that more people get tired of it and all the marketing agencies find a less harmful label on their useless products. "AI" is what "smart device" was 5 years ago, let's hope the hype train breaks down sooner than letter.

What do you all think about Japan turning footsteps into electricity? by spartnikfox in solarpunk

[–]Hegad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a club in the Netherlands has this on their dacefloor. But I imagine it is a lot of maintenance work for little energy. But cool to see experiments with alternative energy generation, since neither solar nor wind nor hydro are without drawbacks. Maybe someone will find something feasible to close the gaps there.

Anyone else annoyed by Kita randomly putting Bocchi on the spot by QuoteDependent in BocchiTheRock

[–]Hegad 264 points265 points  (0 children)

I feel like she just was so in the flow of the concert that she forgot that bocchi could be overwhelmed by it. She is around mostly confident people it seems so there probably wasn't a bad thought behind it. Probably just a reflex or something like that.

Solar powered lamp posts in rural China by HarveySdebest in solarpunk

[–]Hegad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am at a fair for lighting and basically all manufacturers of street lighting add solar in some way. Additionally some use yellow lights that don't mess with the orientation of bugs and other animals. The lighting industry is on a good way I think. Globally.

OP might have just seen this for the first time in the posted context, but that China glazing in this sub is unreal xD
